Created several listings on website and app. Listings were not being listed on their website and getting views. Contacted support and they closed my account. Trying to scam for premium payment features. Trying to get people to pay them to get their listing views and put up at the top of selling categories. Bad website!
OfferUp is a community site where people can sale items to others I sold a nice Coach purse I mailed it I sent buyer and OfferUp copy of receipt showing this with a transaction number for tracking so all could see buyer received and even confirmed she received. Now OfferUp will not pay me because I used my own shipping and not theirs because it was much higher.
Never use this site, there are ligit sites for doing this but not Offer Up. Stay cleaner of them. They have been reported to BBB many times no one seems to do anything about it. I also reported to BBB and will continue to let all know about them and never to use them total scam Not pay me.
I posted an ad on Offerup, decided to pay for ads on their platform and cancelled a few months later. Long story short, eventhough I cancelled and are not actively promoting any items, they are still taking money from my account. Not sure how that is legal, and they have 0 methods to contact them.
Don't do business with this shady company. Literally been stealing my money for 3 months now, and I'm not even selling anything lol smh
I went to Offerup to look and see if they had anything I wanted..have not used the acct in a while. Apparently someone hacked my acct and changed the phone number which is how they veruify you are who you are. They also changed my email address. So if anything bad happens, it will be on me
I sold two cell phones on offer up, sold one for roughly 46 USD . The money is no longer in my offer up account nor is it in my bank account even though it says it’s been transferred, despite repeated emails to offer up, no one will reply. It’s been almost two weeks, and as far as the other phone, I can’t take the money out yet, yet the customer got his phone last Sunday and they make you wait three days before depositing the money. So I sold two phones and haven’t received any money from them, not even a clear communication
She posted stamps from Heartfelt Creations on offerup.com I paid her $225 for them. When I received them they were not what was in picture, but another cheaper brand.
I located this guy through OfferUp. Unfortunately, this was my first use of OfferUp. Let's just say there won't be another one. He asked me to call him. We discussed what I wanted. He brought the Christmas Palm out that afternoon. He promised to deliver 5 other shrub/plants the following day. We paid him that same day for all items. (Our mistake, never again!) He takes cash or check. We did not have that amount of cash so we gave him a check. He asked us detailed information about our bank and 'who is it.' We felt that was weird but dismissed it. Within 2 hours we were both getting multiple calls from an Atlanta number but no messages were left. We then got a text and phone call from the owner of the tree place asking if we had received calls. I told him maybe but no messages were left. Ultimately they got through to us and verified that this check was 'good' and that there were no 'holds' on it. That seemed odd to us but we let it go. Upon research this guy has a forgery charge from a year ago 'altering' and also grand theft. Had I of done research I never would have done business with this place. So this is to warn you. Do not use this place.
2 weeks later at 8 PM 2 guys in a truck show up with our shrubs. Most of them. They only had 4 and they didn't have the Pigmy Palm we wanted to buy because the 'nursery was closed.' They planted the shrubs quickly. They were friendly. The difference was it wasn't the owner, it was his nephew and his friend.
I texted the owner that they did not deliver all of the items we purchased. He still owes us $50 or one shrub and he hasn't bothered to get back to us. At this point I am just happy we got some of the plants. I learned a huge lesson about Florida landscapers. Beware and do your research and certainly do not pay anyone before they deliver the items you want.
Never again would I use this guy for plants. It isn't worth the 'cheap' prices because ultimately it caused so much stress that those plants are now worth a million dollars to us.
