This attorney, Robert L Vaughn Jr. is dishonest and incompetent.

He does not properly update his clients on the case and goes as far

as to make decisions on his own, without client approval.

Thousands of dollars were spent on a divorce case for almost a year,

with TWO failed divorce filings. After months of billing, the first

divorce filing unnecessary went before the judge. The Final Order of

Divorce was signed. All that was necessary was to submit to court.

However, he chose to go before the judge, without client approval.

He lost his motion. In addition, the judge noticed he had made such a

mess of the case that the judge threw out the entire divorce.

To recover from his mistake, he quickly filed for a second divorce on the

same day the first divorce was thrown out before the judge (without client

approval). Again, months later the 2nd Final Order of Divorce was signed.

This time it was submitted to court but sent back by the clerk due to

1)Missing standard documents required in any divorce

2)Basic clerical errors - missing driver's license, phone number,

inconsistent birthdays, absence of separation date

3)Faulty Affidavits

4)Procedure error - no proof of service

I have asked around and he has built himself a poor reputation, at least

in the divorce world, as an attorney that does not play fair. I am not

sure what the other reviewers are talking about, but he does not act

professionally, in my opinion. He has trouble keeping his temper and

goes as far as name-calling..'firecracker' being one of them. I believe

he aggravated the case and caused much emotional turmoil.

I wouldn't be surprised to find a professional misconduct against this

attorney in the future. Stay away from this attorney.
