PLS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, NY MOVING GROUP. This has been the worst experience possible. This company is good only until you pay them and them its been all downhill from there. Seriously downhill!!! The movers sent by NY MOVING GROUP were extremely rude towards me and angry at the management. The management did not inform them of the correct volume of items to be moved, so they were short on labor, as explained to me by the movers. I had to call the management of this moving company on the morning of the move to complain against such rudeness towards me, the client. The management ,in turn ,started screaming at the employees over the phone and this lead to a very unpleasant experience. When I bought up this incident later in my dealing with BBB ( BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, NY), to whom I complained, the management of NY MOVING GROUP outright lied and said that this incident did not occur and that they would fire any employee who was rude to a client. That they would stoop to this level to protect themselves, is simply unacceptable. The did not provide any protection either on the walls nor on the floor during the move. Thus,the wooden floor got scratched when the movers took the household items out. I was charged $300 for this damage. I bought this to the managements attention as soon as possible. I was asked by NY MOVING GROUP the impolite question , of if , the damage charges were bought about by my family!

This is an improper way to deal with this situation. The packing was done is a disorderly manner. The movers ran out of bubble wrap , so many glass and framed items were packed without bubble wrap. The glass table top was wrapped without sufficient bubble warp and no hard surfaces to wedge it between protect it. No glass items were marked FRAGILE. As no fragile sticker was put on the containers where glass was placed, the movers had no idea that fragile items were inside. Also as the glass items ware was packed without sufficient bubble wrap or hard support, needless to say great damage had been caused to many of my frames, pictures., table tops . Upon the shipments arrival at my apartment, The first thing the Japanese movers asked me was if I had hired a professional company to pack my belongings.

The packing was done so poorly that they could not believe a professional company was involved at the NY end of things. There was extensive damage to the boxes. The Tokyo movers said that the cardboard used for the boxes was extremely cheap material and that they would never recommend sending items internationally in such cheap containers. In the Japanese movers own words, they had never seen such poor packing The damage to furniture too has been extensive as all the containers were damaged on arrival due to the poor quality of materials and lack of proper support used in the packing . Needless to say, the amount of damage caused to my belongs during the move was unacceptable.

Insurance did not cover all the items and thus many valuable items remain Unrepaired. NY MOVING GROUP also did not pay the agent in Japan on time. This was told to me by the agent and this caused delay in my receiving the shipment. This was 21/2 months after I paid NY MOVING GROUP in full. The agent in Japan, as appointed by NY MOVING group, was not clear in his communication. Never did he clearly specify the date that the delivery was to be made. He spoke only on approximations and thus I was not clear as to the exact date of delivery. I have asked him to furnish any e mail regarding clear communication of the date of delivery, but he has not been able to do so. Due to this, I had to cut short my vacation and come back to Tokyo to revive my shipment. I bought this to the attention of the Japan agent and NY MOVING GROUP. I have been asked if I physically recorded my conversations with the agent. Is this how NYMOVING deals with situations? The only reply I have received from NY MOVING GROUP so far ,in regards to my complaints is that " there are many moving parts " involved in a move. Of course they !

It is NY MOVING GROUP responsibility to ensure that these moving parts are coordinated such that the courtesy is paid to the customer by the moving crew, attention is paid to protecting the apt. Where the move is being made, clear coordination and communication is done between all parties and proper packing material is used when fragile items are moved. This has certainly not been the case. There has been no apology, no responsibility taken on NY MOVING GROUP part, no attempt to compensate me and no reply to my e mails after I got this message from them concerning" there are many moving parts " on approx. 8/23/2017.

I have contact BBB ( BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, NY) in regards to this matter. When I submitted my complain and e mail correspondence to prove so, I was called a liar and said that I was prone to flights of fancy by the management of NY MOVING GROUP, They have tried to paint me as one who is trying to cheat others and it is downright wrong. I refuse to deal directly with NY MOVING GROUP. When I bought it to their notice that they should have the integrity to compensate me , this is the reply I got via BBB: I have turned the matter to our attorney to pursue the matter through the legal system in the state of New York and as per our dully signed contractual terms & conditions agreement. This will include, but not limited to the ongoing harassment our staff has been constantly exposed to, by you, (including but not limited to constant profanity) defamation, extortion, coercion, and further frivolous allegations made. Do you really wish to deal with such an unethical company?
