We had a NUVOH2O water conditioning system put into our whole house about 3 years ago. It seemed to be working OK and are hard water did seem to dissipate a little bit, but now we have noticed that the plants that we water with thewater coming house are dying. We tried to start a new Garden this year and nothing will grow. We bought beautiful vegetable plants from our local nursery and after about 2 weeks everything is turning yellow and dying. We can't get any fruit to set on them and it just looks awful. We have never had this problem before, we have lived on the same property for 30 years and we have excellent soil, and amend it with all organic compost and we cannot get anything to grow now. If this is happening to our vegetation I wonder what is happening to us physically. I have had some health issues in the last year or so but I never thought that it could be connected to this possibly. I think I'm going to turn the bypass valve on it and see if we can flush all of this stuff out of our system.
The Nuvo H2O citrus waten softener simply doesn't soften the water. My dish soap, bath soap, shampoo, and laundry detergent don't create suds as it would with a regular water softener. I had the indoor and outdoor water tested for hardness and they were the same. Unfortunately, it was after the 90 days return policy.
I'm very disappointed because the unit filter is small and doesn't require much space. I also liked the idea of not using salt or potassium. This has been money "down the drain."
