We have had an ongoing relationship with what started out as Pier One Foundation and shortly after we started work for them he changed the name to NTX Foundation which should have been a red flag, but played it off as rebranding the company as he was a refferal from a mutual person. I then leaned shortly that Pier One Foundation was not a registered company with the state of Texas to do business. I have then learned that the new company NTX Foundation as well is not a regestered company in the Texas either. This all came out when he fired his crew chief, and he tried to file for unemployment. The Texas Workforce Commision could not find his business.
Early on in this business relationship everything seemed to be fine until the first big job. We did our part of the job according to our agreement he had his terms to pay his balance. This is when it all started. Late and partial payments started coming in with the excusses. I fronted my money for materials and labor and gave him a great discount on labor to install. I know the jobs that have been completed have been paid by his customers so there was no reason for my company not to get paid.
This has gone on for months with excuse after excuse, and promise after promise with no follow up. Why is it you have a company bringing in money but can't seem to pay your contactors?!?!?!? Now we are at the point of filling liens on these properties with open balances which is not fair to the homeowners with the only response from Bret Taylor is I understand. Not lets work out a payment plan or put it on a credit card or like other business go to the bank and get a loan to cover your expnses. Bret Taylor may be a smooth talker, but is not a business man. Con artist if you ask me, I can't speak of his foundation work for that is not my specialty. I have found other complaints about his company/companies in regards to warranty work. As a bussiness owner or a customer I will warn you not to do business with him. You may not get paid as a contractor or you may not be getting the service you think you are getting.
It is a shame in today's socity business are allowed to be run this way. I hope this message will help other business owners/customers be aware of his business practices. I am sure the workforce commision or IRS or a building inspector will catch him eventually. Good luck Bret Taylor, be a bigger man and stop these unfair business practices. What you did to my company could put smaller companies out of business, and you should not be allowed to jeperdize other peoples lives "my employees as well" to play your games.
