This lady that goes by the name CHRISTINA came unannounced by my shop offering me a credit card machine which I told her that I already had a contract with another company, she said that her company will pay for the fees they would charge me for breaking the contract plus I didn't have to make a contract with them so if I decided to end their services I had NO contract.

I told her that I couldn't make a desicion without talking it over with my partner, she took a picture of a blank check without my consent and said that she was not going to submit any papers until I gave her the go ahead. When I talked it over with my partner we both agreed that we didn't want to do it but apparently she had already submitted all the papers which obviously forge my signature since she already had a picture of a blank check NOT EVEN the voided paper check.

We contacted the company NOVA and they told us that there was nothing that they could do except for break the contract (that I never agreed to) and pulled a large amount of money out of my bank account which I couldn't even cancel my card because they had the routing number and bank acoount number that she took from the stolen picture of my check, so my bank advised me to dispute the transaction and close the account since they pulled the same amount a few times. It caused me a lot of issues with other pending payments, which led to a few extra fees that were not necessary.

And on top of all the situation with the stolen check and forging my signature, she also lied about her company paying for breaking the previous contract that I had with the other company which they never did and when I talked to her Company NOVA they told me that they DO NOT do such thing.

Bait and Switch Merchant Services ( and Leeching Systems )

A salesperson came to my business end of April 2015 to do a comparison between my then existing merchant services and ones that would be provided by Nova Merchant Services. The salesperson then told me that I would be saving approximately $ 25 per month with Nova and went onto say that service would be month-to-month and free equipment would be included. I volunteered information for an application form which included two signatures and several initials. Equipment arrived within a week and I was then doing transactions. Six weeks later a letter arrives in the mail from a company named Northern Leasing Systems located in NYC. In it is a 6 page " equipment lease agreement " that cannot be cancelled. Information boxes that have been filled in by hand vary in handwriting from one box to another. Meaning this document was completed by more than one person. Yet it contains my signatures dated from April ! I contacted my sales agent named Raphael at Nova to question him about this observation as well as the fact that this paperwork looked nothing like what I was written up in the one and only meeting with a Nova representative. He admitted to the original to having been rewritten due to entry errors made by the salesperson. So, basically he admits that what I'm looking at is not the original paperwork but a rewrite but yet contains my signature of authorization ! I told him either the original document stands on its own or if anything is rewritten I need to see a copy of it and either approve or disapprove it. Basic contract law ! If such was not the law anyone could rewrite a new document with any number of claims, utilize the signature from a document preceeding the rewrite and call it a day ! Absolutely ridiculous and fraudulent to say the least.

I've since been in contact with both companies to no avail. Whenever I bring up the specifics such as stated above they never address those issues and simply ask me " those are you're signatures, right ? " I will also add that I was never allowed to speak with Raphael after that phone conversation - damage control purposes I can only guess. Complaint reports have been filed on both companies mentioned here to Attorney General's offices of NC as well as NY. Northern Leasing did respond to the query from AG of NC in which they insist on no wrongdoing on their part. They included a copy of the 6 page lease as well as a new document that was never sent to me - a DELIVERY AND ACCEPTANCE RECEIPT, dated on the day of meeting in April. In the last clause of this document it clearly states that I confirmed the receipt of the lease copy on the date signed - last I checked my calendar there six weeks pass by going from end of April to Mid-June, which was the FIRST time I received a copy of the lease. Essentially every new document, phone call or email exchange only reveals yet more falsity and unethical business practice by both companies.

One can find HUNDREDS of reports of similar nature as mine on multiple websites on the internet. Lesson learned is to do lots of research BEFORE you fill out any application let alone an agreement !

Hard working entrepreneurs in the Charlotte, North Carolina and surrounding areas, if you have an appointment setter calling to get you infront of their salesperson and the company's name is Nova Merchant Services, llc-RUN. Arriving at our salon with an offer to lower our monthly cost. Heaing the offer, we asked for some personal guarantees of the great offer and the salesperson Brian Garlock hand wrote, no cancellation fee and free terminal, initialed.

Terminal arrives at salon, along with a monthly bill and paperwork that said we entered into a 5 year lease. Issue; is none of the filled in answers came from us. After a month of repeated calling/emailing for a copy we received their personal version of our sales meeting. All the sections left blank was now filled in with never before discussed numbers. BeWare

The repeated request to sever all ties was met with a new company named Northern, the equipment company, never once mentioned. Coming along, was an almost $100.00 taken from our account and a monthly billing for the next 5 years on equipment we never ordered or agreed to receive. Since we own our terminal, we would not chose to start paying for a lease. When their version of the contract is emailed it is another reminder of Nova's intergrity or the lack there of.

You are left with going to your financial institution and lodging reversal paperwork, also going to the state agency that regulate merchant services and the BBB to registering a complaint. Hard working entrepreneurs Beware.
