I worked at North Star Staffing Solutions for approximately 3 months in 2015 for Danny and Tabitha (Tabi)Tran. This company is shady at best. There is at least one other report on this website about the company. During the 3 months of employment, I was required to attend meetings unpaid (with threat of termination if I didn't attend meetings or have a valid reason for missing). These meetings occured as much as 3 times per week for an hour. I also had to turn in a daily report on all work completed. This was supposed to be a contract position with the understanding that it was a commission based position. During my time with the company, I never received any sort of pay. The company made numerous promises of new paid positions, that never materialized. Eventually they turned the company into a multi level marketing scam where you could recruit new Talent Acquisition Specialists to do the same job you were doing. How great right? I can go out and be part of the scam to get new employees working for the company and not get paid. NO thanks!
The positions advertised on North Star's website are recruited for by North Star as well as hundreds of other agencies nationwide, meaning a chance for placement by a North Star employee are slim to none. During the three months I worked for the company only 2 people made placements from the internal team, and only one that I know received a check (or at least stated she did) for her work. A number of 'outside' recruiters supposedly made placements but we had no contact with these people and I couldn't even tell you if they existed.
Long story short this company is getting recruiters to work for them, for no pay, having them recruit individuals for possible placement into jobs that they never get placed in, and putting all of those people's information into an online job board, so when the recruiter quits (as most of them do) the company keeps all of the information on all of the people the recruiters worked hours to build relationships with, all while making no money.
These people are scam artists, their company is a scam and if the other report I read on this company is 100% truthful, it sounds as if they are in some big trouble.
Don't make the same mistake I did, don't spend three months chasing a dream when you know in your gut it is a pipe dream. I could have made thousands of dollars in the time I wasted working for this company. Now, I have nothing but broken dreams and wasted time. Shame on North Star Staffing Solutions.

This person left North Star Staffing Solutions for a job that actually pays! Imagine that! It's not our job as gentiles to judge others. What puzzles me is why would North Star try to report an individual to the police who has done nothing but help them in their business? No North Star, you cannot make up your own laws that help only you. Countless hours toiling away so Mr Danny Tran and his wife can be rich off the sweat of others back! Then they cry foul when someone leaves to actually make money for their family.
Everything reported on Rip off Report and Glassdoor about North Star Staffing Solutions is 100% True and correct. They wish it was only one person who they have angered but it's plenty. The proof is in the pudding negative reviews date back years, they are honestly dumb enough to believe that people are dumb enough to think they have only pissed off one person? More are coming out of the wood work. Besides that fact, the writing styles of the many people reporting are all different!You cannot fake numerous writing styles. This is something they cannot accomplish with their fake positve reviews, because well, they have one brain cell between them and they think others cannot tell it is all one person writing these fake superficial positive reviews. I'm so sorry North Star, but people are actually pretty bright.
It is called Freedom of Speech! Yes America still has Freedom of Speech. I bet Mr Danny wishes it was not America so people could not warn others. It is great that sites like Glass Door and Rip off Report do not take off honest reports and reviews just because Mr. Danny Tran tries to throw thousands of dollars at them, money he made off the honeset work of others. It is so great that Rip off Report will not take this down. Sad that this company is so deceptive they would want the reviews taken down. They would like to continue to con and scam decent Americans. This person's name is Rick Shadrick from TN, He is part of an internet attack group and has been wanted in his home town for impersonating a police officer/ a detective/ and a school advisor, all for the propose of scamming people out of money. Mr. Rick Shadrick has had to move away from his home town because he was wanted for the above scams. Through our research we have found that Mr Rick Shadrick has done this to three other companies. When researching our bad reviews they all happened after Mr Rick Shadrick left our company in June of 2015. Search Rick Shadrick scam and you will see that this person is out to hurt companies and scam people. We are working with our attorneys now to find his IP address so we can charge him for his crimes. All these complaints came from one person. His name is Rick Shadrick of TN. He was also banned from Nashville for claiming he wrote a lot of songs he did not. This person is not to be trusted. The company he said that is paying him a salary is also a fake company. It's called Cybershield.com and there are no other employee working there. this website claims to have federal jobs. They do not even have a Vendor number. This company is also a fake company created for the sole reason of scamming people. Everything that comes of out this guys mouth is a lie. I was personally scammed by Mr. Rick Shadrick.
