I loaned $700 to pay off my rent, during a difficult time and the agent I spoke with, assured me that if I paid on time, that I would not pay $1656 which was the totalnpay off amount because their interest rate is so high. I believe they should know that people borrowing money don't have any other means which is why they loan. So it is completely ridiculous of them to try to make almost $1000 from a bad situation, which only puts the indivisual through so much more tension and could die from stress. Taking a 3rd job to pay off a loan can be exhaustive, and not until they get sued for their actions will they start being like other pay day companies.
I called today to pay off $400 when my regular payment amount is always $236.59 because of what the lady had said, and for some reason they said after that $400, I would still have two more payments of 236.59 and one payment of $81.59. Keep in mind, that I have already payed $473.18. I'm not sure where they expect a student to get that kind of money from, with student loans and all.
I applied for a loan to get past Christmas for my kid. The day I received the loan I was told I would be paying $100.00 back plus the $400.00 I borrowed. That totals $500.00. I've now paid 901.61 back for a $400.00 loan. I paid it because they havey bank info and I didn't know what to do. I have no signed contract and no paper work has been sent to me from this company.
