I received a credit agency request for payment for a magazine subscription without ever having received a legitimate bill for the product from the supposed publisher of the magazine. The bill cited Remedy Health Media, LLC as an agent for the University of CA at Berkeley as the Creditor. I contacted the University but could not find a record for having placed the order. I called North Shore Agency to speak to a representative about this claim. While the number brought me to a menu of numbers including "speak to a representative," but when I pressed the extension I was told that I'd made an invalid selection and I was returned to the menu. I even chose the option for never having received the magazine just to see what would happen. I was simply told they'd contact the Creditor. After having tried the extension to speak to a rep 3x with the same outcome, I hung up. The only option that seemed to work was the "make a payment" option.

These idiots write me daily, call me several times an hour, I am not even that person who is on the letter, but why would they care? They are fake, so they don’t abide by collectors laws and regulations despite the state if your residence. You would think that in the libtard state of NY (California beats NY in libretardation) anyhow this fake scammers continue to write me and email me and call me their name is North Shore Collection “agency” ‘MY A*S’ or NSA booo... lol it’s stays for north shore agency their address is 270 Spagnoli Rd. Ste 110 Melville, NY 11747.

What I want to say about them is they are a fraud promoters, they are unreal and stupid, idiots that work for them speak no Ingles habla no Espaniol so they are from zimbabve they do not provide any services nor they are an actual collection agency.

Be adviced they are just a ripoff if they will get your name or your data from who knows where (and you have to be careful when you are subscribe for certain things) if you subscribe for something and you’re not careful they will get your data and they will get your email your phone number your name and they will be calling you non stop using computer robocall technologies and stuff.

They don’t care about the rules that they cannot call after nine , they don’t remove your number if you say it’s not even you because they’re not real collection agency, they are people that went through botched anus reconstruction surgery and now defecate through their mouth (when they have diarrhea it is even better it’s comes out from their ears).

Amazing I know , so they don’t have to abide by any type of law or rule or anything, so they will do it until you block their number 100,000 times, but they have another call service XD that keeps calling your number until you go nuts and pay them a visit so they sign up for second anus reconstruction surgery.

On the serious IOU’s note I think of because they do have a physical address they should be sued, but I live in California so I am I don’t really know how much of a revenge I can get by suing them being in New York.

The retards just pure scammers that probably have some sort of a LLC that says that they can do such a thing although for California laws they cannot and they still do it so I think you’re going to contact attorney general of state of New York and I suggest a ripoff.com and it’s the customers to contact the attorney general of state of New York also attorney general for the county where the town of FAGville is located and file a complaint or simply email them from automaker that cost like $3 and fill their box off and DRIVE THEM NUTS and let OAG OF THE STATE OF NY know that this type of activities happening, so maybe that will help?!

I mean do not send them anything or send them a brick since they provided in the paid envelope, so I encourage encourage everyone who gets a letter from them get a brick wrap it with paper and then tape the envelope on top so they have to pay for that entire weight of the brick let’s see if they will call you again when they receive it that’s the best idea you can do thank you very much for your attention goodbye.

Questionable Business practice by Men's Fitness and North Shore (Collection) Agency of Old Bethpage NY 11804-9005

Today April 12th I received in the mail to my surprise a "Delinquent Account Status" by the Collection Agency North Shore

Agency of New York. It states that I owe $19.97 to Men's Fitness on April 3, 2017. I never authorized a new

subscription to Men's Health and it is what I see as trying to force customers through the threat of the North Shore

Agency to pay for the 2017 year subscription. Since the dollar figure is low, they assume one will pay it to get them

off one's back. This it totally wrong and I have never had a collection agency approach me for anything since

all my bills are paid on time and every month! If they are trying to hurt my stellar credit score than they can

expect to be sued and the North Shore Agency for representing fraud!

I am writing this so many in the future can avoid these scam artists who must be desparate for customers to try

to force the customer to pay for a new subscription and then sending a collection agency aftern them for the 2017

subscription which I have not received! Be smart and avoid buying subscriptions from Men's Fitness!

This is the third time northshore collection agency has made false claims against me. I have personally contact "The Bradford Exchange", and was told "they do not "use" NSA. "And if they contacted me again to please contact them. But first I am contacting you. Because NSA is a fraud. I am a very good member of "The Bradford Exchange"; I owe them nothing.

NorthShore Collection Agency called me two days ago and I hung up on them. And two days later I get a letter for a debt "I DO NOT OWE. NorthShore Collection Agency is nothing but a "bully. Hoping "I would faulter", and believe them. NO WAY IN HELL. I have had NSA letters before. Somehow they find out who you owe and try to collect from you instead of paying the people you owe directly.

They aer scammers. "I HATE THEM. "And I wish "someone would close them down. They cause trouble", between merchant and the merchants customer. They steal very personal information from someone who supplies them with false information and then they try to shake you down. "NOT FALLING FOR IT.

I am reporting them because they are very bad people. And they continue to harrass you, but never have a three way call", set up; so you can catch them in a lie. Banks do the three way calling; why not them. Plus younever speak to the same person twice. A person always has to prove to them about the matter.

Someone is supplying NSA with false collections"; And they say they have a "RIGHT" to continue to send letters and call and harrass you about a false account. That! Is BS. NSA needs to be punished and penalized. They should send me a check for there BS. NorthShore has many false schems. NEVER EVER EVER BELIEVE THEM.

NSA uses all of their address across the country", to keep you hopping. This is my first written report about NSA; useually I would just tear up their mail and throw it it the trash; except the last time when I went on line checked my account and found nothing owed. I have not purchased anything from The Bradford Exchange in over a year.

"I AM IN "GOOD" STANDING'S WITH "THE BRADFORD EXCHANGE". And I am a very good customer with them. 1/15/2019 : 5:39pm Tuesday.

I took the offer in the People Magazine special 12 issues on the card in the magazine cover. I chose not to renew the subscription. I received this collection notice in pink- delinquent account warning to settle this debt for $56. After reading the complaints filed with Rip Off report, I believe this is just a scam to get people to renew the magazine when there was no obligation to renew the magazine. I did not receie any more magazines after ther initial trial subscription ended. I did not agree to any renewals of the magazine and want the collection attempt stopped, as I do not owe a DEBT as I did not receive any magazines/services.

Responded to a mailer purporting to be a subscription to the Nation magazine which never arrived and I never received any mail from The Nation, but a collection agency, North Shore Agency-NA5, said that they are representing the magazine demanding that I send them $20. The Nation magazine's website warns that it is being victimized by magazine scams like this thenation.com/renewalscam/, though this was not a renewal but a new magazine subscription offer.

North Shore Agency is trying to collect a debt for a subscription to the ski magazine, Powder magazine. They state that I ordered a subscription, issues were sent to me and that I have not payed for the subscription. The fact of the matter is that I have indeed had a subs rip tin to Powder for many years but I decided that I was not going to renew it once the subscription ended. I didnt and the issues stopped coming the normal. Then all of a sudden these notices started coming. This is about the 3rd or forth one they have sent over past 6-12 months. You cannot speak to a human on the phone nor do they return messages that I left. All they want is me to send payment or pay online. Indu hugger Google search it's pretty obvious that these guys have been at this for a while cuz there are quite a few reports of people having same problem both on other sites and on this site.

I received in the mail a ststement from NSA that I owed the American History magazine $26.95 for a magazine I never ordered or received.

  • Dec 14, 2016

I received a demand for payment from this "collection agency" for a subscription to The Nation magazine that I intentionally did not renew. Another address on the letter is suite 110, 270 Spagnoli Road, Melville, NY 11747

My wife was very upset when she received the letter from North Shore Agency regarding her subscription to Archaeology Magazine. Although we enjoyed the magazine, it cost $23.95 a year and we had decided not to renew it.

The letter used many threatening terms and phrases such as "collection agency," "opportunity to settle this account," "attempt to collect a debt," "before further collection activity becomes necessary."

Although we realize that this is a scam, in the back of our minds we we wonder if some of North Shore's threats could be carried out and would our credit rating be damaged if they notify the three credit reporting agencies.

They have been sending ever-more-sarcastic & nasty letters claiming I owe "RDA Enthusiast Brands, LLC" (or Taste of Home, depending on the letter) money for a book they claim to have sent.

First off, if they sent something I didn't order postal regulations say it's mine for free. (And I NEVER agree to automatic billing or ordering.)

Second, what book? The postal carriers here have a documented problem, over months, with leaving packages in plain sight. No surprise things get stolen.

Third, they have offered no proof, other than their "client's" claim, that the book was sent, let alone delivered.

Fourth, their form letters read as though they haven't seen/read my previous responses, outlining the above.

This subscription was from a: get 1 free if you like it pay offer. The NSA have evidently hacked that company's website to collect on the amount of the full subscription. I am not dealing with that company and I did not extend the subscription to the full length.

This is a complete waste of my time. I do not pay bills I don't owe.

  • Aug 25, 2015

I have had this magazine for a few years, their magazine is mostly advertizement and they do not ever send a full subscription of 12 magazines per year. Sometimes we only got 10/year. I'm retired now and trying to cut down on expenses which is another reason I discontinued it, and I dont take my boat out as much, I'm 71yrs. old.

Received a letter from NSA North Shore Agency stating I owe them 19.98 for their "client"

Letter never indicates their client.

At the top rigt corner below the date, I see "RE; SHOOTING TIMES".

I believe they are trying to pressure me to purchase a magazine.

I don't owe any of these people money. Pure Scam / Rip Off.
