This mover ripped me off in a major way on many levels! If you are considering obtaining a mover, do not use north "america" movers! Also operating as bearhellomoving, and northameriaprime.com. I moved from Ft. Stewart army base in Huntsville ga. in jan. 2016. They added staggering amounts of added "fees" on top of my original estimate! Basically almost triple the estimate that a rep. named Janie provided. There were constant typos on my basic info. They are very vague on information. I had never moved across the country (3,000 miles) and this whole company used that to their advantage! I found out at a later date that they ripped off other clients on the very same date. They did an extremely poor job of communicating with me, especially just prior to the move. Even going so far as to use a ploy that my "rep's aunt died" so I could not contact her directly close to the actual date of my actual move. They upcharged me on pretty much everything from that date forward... but once they had "possession" of all items I was moving! So, I could not do much about the scam they were running. They had my items! I suspected they were crocked at this point big time!
They juggle you around to various contacts (phone reps, truck supervisors, etc ) to create confusion. You get a lot of conflicting info. They take advantage of the fact that moving is a stressful time to play on your decisions, and emotions, etc. They also tried to represent the company as North "American" van lines. So you think they're more well known, and legitimate. When I started to defend my position, and also show disapproval and dispute my charges, they dumped my stuff in a public type storage facility that I can't get my stuff out of without paying for all their fees, and additional charges! It has been crazy to witness the low levels these people will sink to to take advantage of good unsuspecting clients! Please be aware of these shady movers! I will be persueing them with several other agencies including the attorney general.
