Kris posted a home he wanted to sell in Cabo San Lucas on Craigslist. He posted 4 small pictures online, one in front of the home and 3 smaller images inside the unit. It said nothing about being a condo but a "home", indicating it was a free standing home, not a connected condo to another property.
In addition, he presented HOA documents which said nothing about the inability to rent the home/condo for any short term rental.
After I paid to travel to Cabo San Lucas to see/inspect the property, I found the property was in extremely poor condition. Plumbing was leaking. Electrical was in poor condition, acutally dangerous yet it was represented this property was ready to habitate. I later learned he had renters in this property and had left the property, leaving some of their personal belongings behind.
In addition, some of the air conditioning units were inoperable. I spent nearly $1,000.00 to fly down to Cabo San Lucas, paid for a hotel, meals, etc, only to see how poor condition this property was in.
When I asked for my $1,000.00 deposit to be returned to me, he refused to do so. He stated he had no idea but that I was "stuck" with the property, either pay him for the monthly fee or just let my deposit go.
I had HVAC System installed December 2016. Evaporator coil went bad and because of refrigerant leak the building was serverly damaged.
The local APR Supply Manager Dave would not honor the warranty.
The HVAC repair over 500.00 for parts and 400.00 labor on a known bad coil issue because he did not want to honor the warranty. The original installer left the business because of poor product reilability.
This does not even begin to cover the damages done to the building because of the leak. This product should be covered for a longer (not shorter) warranty because they are all bad.
