The roof was clean but my yard was trashed.! They used my hoses and left my furniture where they moved it. They did not check the yard and realize there was a boat on the side yard until I told them.!! They only cover plants when I said to cover them... I m a local fireman and he gave me an15% discount...I would have paid the full amount for a complete job.
I would like to be fair about this report because I know these reports have a way of getting blown out of proportion. The process took place 2 months ago so I will state the facts to the best of my recollection. The first thing I will say is that the company No Pressure Roof Cleaning did a good job of cleaning my actual roof, maybe even a great job. I have no complaints there. Where my complaint comes in is in their professionalism. I guess I should have know right away that there may be an issue when I first called the company. Judging by their professional looking website it seemed like a fairly large company so I didn't think twice about calling them on a Saturday. I'm a busy Physician so I have to take care of these things when I can. I got their voicemail and I left a message for them to call me back at their earliest convenience. The voicemail also listed an alternative number so I tried that one too. No answer on that one either, but no problem, I just hung up and figured they would get to my first message when they got to it. I mean it's a dirty roof, not a Code Blue. A few minutes later I receive a call back from the owner Paul Guitard. He sounded very annoyed and explained that he was out with his family. He went on to say that he normally doesn't answer his phone in this situation but the fact that I called both numbers was alarming and that he thought there was some kind of emergency. I apologized and stated that I was simply trying both numbers that were listed and that if either number were listed as an "Emergency number" which they weren't, of course I wouldn't have called it. Believe me, if anyone knows the hassle of being on-call, it's me. I sometimes get 20 to 30 calls a day on my day off, from the hospital, " Sorry Dr. Cupples we need this" "Sorry Dr. Cupples we need that".
At this point Paul explained his roof cleaning process, the price (which seemed pretty high), and their no damage guarantee (will replace any landscaping that is damaged by the process). Based on the guarantee I scheduled the appointment. After the job was completed I notice several dead plants, grass and bushes. Apparently the guarantee is that whatever doesn't bounce back after 6 weeks will be reimbursed. So, I guess I will have to live with dead landscaping for a month and a half and hope they reimburse me after that. I'm not that mad about this though, because apparently this is pretty common with chemical roof cleaning. The thing that did annoy me however is that they made no attempt to move, ask us to move, or warn us about overspray on our lawn furniture. We have expensive outdoor furniture that was sprayed by the process and damaged (basically looks like they were sneezed on repeatedly by a Xenomorph) and there are divots, holes, and discolorations all over them. These are couches that could have been moved in 10 seconds. I was at the hospital when they came, but I would of gladly moved them if I had been warned (god forbid they just slid them over 8 feet for me). This is just pure laziness on their part. Absolutely ridiculous for a company that does this everyday to overlook this. When I asked them about this they stated that they didn't look that bad or could barely notice any damage. I could see that it would be very difficult to get any sort of compensation for this so I am not going to pursue it. Thankfully I am in a financial position where I can easily replace something like this, but I imagine there are many people struggling to make ends meet, who are required by their HOA to get their roofs cleaned and if this situation happened to them, they would simply have to live with the damage.
Be careful when selecting a low pressure roof cleaning company, this process is probably fine if you have absolutely nothing of value, either emotional or financial, surrounding your property. However, if you enjoy anything outside your home, look to another company.
