Medical Professionals please beware of Next Medical Staffing and their so called top notch clientele and accounts. This is not only one of the worst, most unorganized, and lowest paying acengies around but, they also staff medical professionals at some of the worst companies across the U.S., including an exclusive pain management group that is now under investigation for fraud, including fradulent billing practices at mutiple site locations. Next Medical Staffing lied and dropped the ball on multiple occassions and should not be an agency you trust or work with now or in the future, even if you are desperate for employment. No matter if you are looking to relocate, travel or what have you, you should avoid this agency at all cost. Trust me, there are plenty of other agencies out there to choose from who can provide and execute a better overall staffing experience compared to Next Medical Staffing.
From start to finish Next Medical Staffing's hiring process is by far one of the most grueling and outdated around. The online application form is a chore to complete and it can not be saved so be prepared to take a good hour or so out of your day to complete it and no there is not an option to upload your CV or auto populate any of it either. Their antiquated aptitude tests are a tedious nightmare and the credentialing process takes a lifetime and a half. When you do finally receive feedback it is last minute of course telling you they need more information to proceed or they will push your start date back, yet again.
This agency is just so disorganized, and to top it all off it does not offer competitive pay, in fact it is the bottom level of industry standards. If you do your research you will find just how little you are making compared to your peers and of course they will not match a competitors rate or be willing to negotiate a little if at all. The benefits package is expensive, to put it in perspective if you have a family Cobra is a cheaper option. There are no big bonuses or sign on deals offered at Next Medical Staffing either, none that come even remotely close to those offered by other agencies anyways, small or large. I recommend trying to find opportunities on your own first regardless of health profession or specialty prior to using an agency, especially this one. Online career boards have dramatically changed the hiring process for the medical community and are much easier to use now than before. It beat going through an agency, especially with most online boards adding an easy one click apply button that sends your CV straight to the employer.
I really do not believe agencies such as Next Medical Staffing are needed or relevant anymore especially after having worked with them. Little agencies such as this are mostly around to try and fill the bottom of the barrel job orders that no other medical professional wants or finds appealing, such as those in rural or crime ridden areas that are low paying or clients that have a bad track record with fraudulent practices. Minus one or two good recruiters of whom I do not believe are even employed anymore due to their own volition, the individuals at this agency have been deceitful, especially when it comes to disclosing any information regarding pay, job status, benefits, practice or contract details.
Again, this is just another reason I would strongly suggest finding employment on your own or at least through a larger and more reputable agency. Look for an agency that has been established for more than a few years, has positive reviews online, and has more than what I think was just one or maybe two credentialing individuals. Ask questions about state requirements, get names and titles and always do your research, I wish I had done mine. In closing this was my first experience in working with Next Medical Staffing and thankfully my last. It is my opinion that the staff lacks any formal training or even common knowledge regarding the medical field or current requirements for healthcare professionals such as; licensing, credentialing, CEU's, state specific laws and guidelines, current and competitive pay rates, industry news, or so on. In my opinion, those looking to improve their careers and further their success and medical skills should avoid Next Medical Staffing and look elsewhere.
