I agreed to lease a vehicle from Mr. Harry Laughman of New Kingstown Auto on 4/28/2016.
First of all he told me that "he" had just had all new exhaust, 2 new rear shocks, new rear wheel cylingers and 2 new motor mounts (front top and rear bottom).
Within the first couple of weeks I took it back to him twice complaining of a horrible loud vibrating noise and a rough idle when in gear. Both times "his" employees rode in the vehicle and "looked" it over and said that there was nothing wrong.
On 6/14/2016 I took it to my mechanic. They were appauled. NONE of the items Mr. Laughman had said he had done to the vehicle were actually done and I had to pay them $348.94 to actually replace the bottom motor mount which corrected the loud vibrating noise.
On 8/29/2016 I took my car back to another garage because of front end/road noise. (Because my regular mechanic didn't have the equipment to align and this is what I "thougt" the problem was).
The mechanic advised me that the two front tires had cords showing, the back tires were dry rotted and the front tie rods and bushings needed replaced. And the front and rear alignments were way out. They also advised that the car should NOT have legally passed inspection in this condition.
On 9/1/2016 I had to buy 4 new tires. $237.20
AND THE REAL KICKER - I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE REGISTRATION! At first he blamed it on PennDot. Then he blamed it on his daughter who works in his office. Then he said it was on his desk and he would mail it to me. So I finally had it researched and PennDot shows NO record of it ever being entered into their system!
Here it is 10/11/2016 and I am STILL getting lie, after lie, after lie and no registration. How many times can he legally keep taping temp. paperwork to my back window?
DO NOT BUY OR LEASE A CAR FROM NEW KINGSTOWN AUTO!
On August 5th 2015, I had given New Kingston Auto a check for 1,500.00 in Good Faith that my vehicle would be ready Friday the August 7th, when I showed up on Friday he had alot of excuses of why the car was 45 mins away and that it needed all this work, he said it wasn't inspected, but when I looked at the car a month ago it was inspected till 2016. I asked him for my money back because he never released the car, I purchased Insurance and had to cancel that, and now he is avoiding my calls, I called the Police they Informed me that this was a Legal Matter. I called a civil suit Lawyer.
