NEVER hire Max Faytelson and his company New Home Moving! Had I known then what I know now, I wouldn't have let them move me even across the street. I have moved many times in my life, from coast to coast, and this was by far the worst experience - shockingly so. Max will not take care of your things. They damaged, completely destroyed, and "lost" so many pieces of furniture that it is to the point of gross negligence.
When they opened the back of the truck, immediately I could see how horribly it was packed and how my personal items were treated with such disregard. I could offer many descriptive examples of the losses but just heed my words and never hire Max and his team and never allow another larger moving company to contract him out. I have many photographs of the damages that will hopefully support a stronger claim than normal - because this should not be acceptable by any standards. They are a disgrace to the moving industry. He did not care one bit when I was texting him what was broken or missing. All he texted was, "If you got problems claim insurance" and "What you want for me" and then "I'm going to block you right now" because he didn't care.
He wouldn't answer his phone when I called. This is what you get for $7,500 for New Home Moving to handle your personal things.
And finally - if, for some crazy reason that you do hire him (seriously, DON'T), purchase the extra insurance! DO NOT wave this option and do not use only his insurance because it is 60 cents PER POUND. So, if he ruins your $4500 sofa for instance, which he actually did, and it weighs 200 lbs, you will hopefully maybe get back $120 - if the insurance company so decides. BE WARNED!
New Home Moving Conartist, Scam, Not Professional they will leave you stranded Dont use them. Also they are not licensed company. New Home Moving Address :***** * ******* *** Aurora, CO 80014 ph# ***-***-**** I don't even know where to start. This was the worst move ever. The day before our scheduled move, the movers tried to move up the pick-up date and "come by this afternoon." When they did arrive, they had the completely wrong estimate/quote, based on which the company threatened to charge us extra (we ended up paying extra to just get it over with) despite the fact that we signed an updated quote and left multiple messages trying to further update it. The movers put a hole in our wall during the move. They misjudged the items we had and had to leave with the shuttle, unload the shuttle into the trailer, and come back with the shuttle, adding hours to the pickup.
The mover's cell phone was disconnected and it was virtually impossible to get ahold of anyone regarding our move--we were shuffled around to many different associates, We repeatedly left unreturned voicemails/calls.
They company has lied to us many times and is extraordinarly disorganized. They made the moving process pretty much as stressful as it could possibly be. I wish we had rented a UHaul and driven our belongings ourselves.
