I bought a New Holland tractor in 2014 with a warranty that expired in 2016. In Aug. 2019 it pushed the engine dipstick and oil out of engine with only 209hrs on it. When I called numerous dealers and New Holland customer relations I was told the warranty was expired and there wasn't anything that they could do for me. So I took it to my repair shop and had it fixed with a bill of $3050.
My mechanic(WHO WORKED FOR A NEW HOLLAND DEALERSHIP FOR OVER 20YRS) informed me to check on an emission warranty, which I did through a New Holland dealer, and come to find out the emission warranty was still in effect when this incident occurred. New Holland still won't do anything for me because it wasn't repaired by them, which I would have had them do it if I would have known there was a warranty still in effect.
So long story short, New Holland told me it wasn't under warranty, when in fact it WAS, but now won't cover it because they did not do the repairs.
