In Oct '17, there was an ad in Richmond Times Dispatch for New Beginnings Mobility for stair lift chairs. Contacted them through the web site. James Clore e-mailed me and made arrangements to come to our home to discuss stair lifts. He gave us brochures on three chairs (Harmar Pinnacle SL600, Harmar SL 400 and Acorn 130. He took measurements, explained everything to us and gave price quotes. We purchased the Harmar Pinnacle SL600 and gave him a check for $3200. He contacted us to schedule installation and that's when the problems started....one excuse after another, and another until finally we told him to refund our money. He has admitted he has fallen on hard times and has only refunded $300 with promises, one after another, and another to refund the remainder. As of Feb 19, '18, we have not received our money. We are senior citizens and this company has taken advantage of us.
Jim Clore is the owner. He owns this company and has now started another company called New Beginnings Mobility. It is the same company under a new name. He is a complete scam and the companies he owns have been robbing people of money for years. He promised to install 2 stair lifts at my home, gave me an invoice and collected money in full. He promised to install in a week. At the last minute, he said he has been unable to procure the stair lifts and said he would resuturb the money. It has now been 2 months since he collected the payment and is yet to return the money. He has been playing the this scam for years. Google search him and his company and you will see that he has been robbing people for years.
