I am 72 yeards old. I contacted this company to check the price of Walk in Tub. Salesman came out very talkative and friendly about 3 days before my surgery (I was under medication). Gave me the talk, said if i put 1500 it would save the tub for me. H e had me initial and contract, etc. but at the same talking talking..just iniitial it here and here.
I went into hospital, for my surgery, when i got home found the tub installed already. Next i get the bill from finance company, and notice the cost of the tub (that i thought was 6900. was over 13,000.) Plus the door was too small for me to get in and out of without hurting my back more.
I called and sent emails to BBB; Attorney General: New bath walkintubs. Their manager Steve came out but all he would do is get the door enlarged.
That i felt ripped off over charged for item. Their contract is misleading also. (after looking at it when i got done with surgery) They did come and put in new door. but refused to adjust price to at least 6995 which in looking around i found that that to be a reasonable cost 6995.
they still refuse to give me any money back. The would change the door. i.e. The new door/tub they installed is too hard to open for me. I notified them all of this additional problem. BBB wants to do mediation and end the problem, i dont want to end it until i have heard for the AG office, which i have not, or h ave this practice checked out by someone else.
I used check and credit/debit card for transaction.
