After using my phone for ten years with this provider, I tried to add air time so my plan would not be canceled and was informed that my phone was not compatible with their system, so they would not add any air time.
I used the phone for two more days, so I know it was still working with their system.
When my current air time ran out my service was canceled, under no fault of mine, and 5272.50 minutes were stolen from me, over $500.00 in value.
This was after numerous phone calls to their customer service trying to resolve the issue. They refused to transfer the minutes to another phone, or refund the money I paid for them.
I wanted to port my wifes phone number to Cricket Wireless. She had used up her minutes and time 2 days ago so that we wouldn't be wasting money. They refused to release the number unless I bought another month of service, that I would have immediately lost when we switched companies. They also lied to me after being on the phone with them for a half hour. They said that the number had been released to Cricket. The rep was a guy named Joe, whome I reached at corporate after asking to be transferred to the United States. He refused to give me his last name. That was a lie. After making an additional trip to Cricket (35 miles away) the lady at the cricket store checked and said that they had not released the number. I Called back, and spent 2 hours on the phone. I got nowhere. I asked to speak to the CEO, and was told that he does not accept calls. This company is no good.
I was sent the wrong phone I ordered a similar phone but with the 5" screen and was sent the sister phone with the 4" screen. When I contacted Net 10 they were willing to replace the phone with me paying a additional service card for 35.00. Even after explaining to them that I do not have an additional 35.00 they insisted that was the only way they would replace my phone with the phone I ordered. Therefore I will not be continuing service with them. I should of went with all the reviews about this company but I didnt instead I took a chance and now I regret it
I never received a email with my tracking number if I didnt contact them I never would of known that it was on its way
THANK YOU FOR YOUR RECENT ORDER! We will send you an email with the shipment tracking number when your order ships.
Order Total:$39.28 which was paid so I should not have had to pay again
I've had a Net10 phone for 7 or 8 years. Recently, my flip phone was wearing out, so I selected a new phone. Transfer went smoothly. I found out that the new dumb smart phone simply would not work with towers in the neighboring area code. After discussion with Net10 customer service, I selected a flip phone (that's what I used to have, so I was fine with that). There were difficulties in activating the new phone that were finally ironed out. But then I discovered it. Before the transfer, I had 11,000+ minutes that had been rolled over. After the transfer, there were only about 1,100.
First the tech guy and then the customer service guy told me that they verified that the current minutes were the correct minutes. I insisted to them that their verification was incorrect and that they need to look to the HISTORY. Those minutes were there the previous morning and all the many days before that. Nope, nope, they insist they verified which is complete garbage. Then I was told to contact the Loss Prevention Department. He gave me the same spiel and then had the audacity to claim that the piddly 1,170 minutes was tripled from what it should have been. I am beyond disgusted.
Now, you might say....why worry when you don't even use your minutes? First, it doesn't matter - those 10,000 minutes represent hundreds of dollars of minutes that I PAID FOR. These days, I am using more minutes because my family members have all dropped their land lands. If I housesit or stay over to help care for someone, I have to have my own means to make calls. It's especially hard when you are supporting a family member at a hospital and need to make long distance calls to family, friends and support services. You MUST have a cell phone today.
What do I have left to do? I am writing both to the company head in Florida as well as the government in Florida and Better Business Bureau. When you advertise that you always keep your rollover minutes, you better make sure that you can meet that promise. Currently Net10 is not meeting that promise for me. I think I am soon to be a former customer.
Purchased NEW Lucky LG phone from Rite Aid - tried to activate, Net 10 would only give me $80/mth plan even though box said service was $35. Loaded minutes from provider and then activated at $35. Phone was for my mother in TX. # assigned was apparently reused - she received calls from people in 15 different states wanting $$$. She tried to call out - phone kept cutting out every two minutes.
Called Net 10 - idiot CS person told me to have her text a # and reset phone - when I asked how that would fix 1/2 the country calling her (people she doesn't know). She just said she couldn't fix that?! Then she gave me a lecture about swearing because I called it a crap phone and crappy phone service.
No refund, no option of another phone. Net 10 used to be good, I had their service for 10 yrs. Not sure what's happened but they are just down the toilet and I don't recommend them to anyone.
N e t 10 sold me a phone that will not work outside of my zip area. When I went on vacation I discovered this. After 3 different sim cards and 2 weeks of no phone, they said I would have to purchase Another new phone. They will not refund my money nor give me credit toward another phone. Thieves is what they are.
October 31 2015, My 6 month old net10 phone became defective. I was originally told to purchase another $50 unlimited time card to fix the situation even though I was not out of time. I did this and it didn't correct it. I have since then spent countless hours on the phone with net10. I have been given false tracking numbers. I have now lost my original number so if I don't keep up with the countless false tracking numbers then I get lost in your system because you supposedly can no longer access my case through the telephone number you disconnected. December 4 2015, you finally send a phone but it's at least $70 less than the smartphone I sent to you. I got a $15 flip phone?! And still no airtime bill for the time I was not allowed to originally use. The $50 timecard. December 28 2015, still no phone or airtime bill. This is robbery literally. You have stolen my money and my phone! I am at my wits end, but I don't give up. I am pasttthe point of wanting the product anymore. I have purchased another phone through a different company, but you owe me over $150 and I want my refund at least.

This was theft of my property, plain and simple.
