NeoSmart Technologies EasyRE doesn't work and they will not give you the promised refund Internet
EasyRE is supposed to repair your windows installation when windows becomes corrupted and won't load. If it doesn't work, they say they will refund the $19.95. But you have to contact customer support frst so they can try to fix the problem.
I contacted support right after it didn't work. I requested the promised refund. They send me a new link to a different program to try. I tried it, didn't work at all. The first program made the computer completely useless, from where I could at least get into the utilities before.
Now I described the behavior and failure of the second program.
No reponse. over the next week I emailed support 2 more times and my emails are being ignored. The classic ignore them until the customer gives up ploy.
NeoSmart Technologies EasyRe is a scam that will take your money, waste lots of time downloading and burning media that won't solve the problem, and then they will ignore your refund requests. Avoid the agrevation. Avoid NeoSmart Technologies.
Made my BSOD worse and they will not issue refunds
Beware! They do not issue refunds. They just keep routing you around to different departments until time for refunds expire. I have used Neosmar in the past with good results. But now, something has changed. Since I paid with Paypal, I have filed a complaint thru Paypal. I have used their Easybcd for years with
good results. But now, they do not support what their website says refunds for any reason. I hope that changes in future.
I ordered the recovery disk program from Neosmart with the idea of a refund if the program did not work. I downloaded the programs as Neosmart advised and attempted to use on a computer running Windows8. I followed the steps to recover to operation system, but my computer did nothing. I contacted their Support dept by email and was told I was doing something wrong. I retried the download and running the recovery again, same issue. I sent another email to inquire about the refund and I was told I needed to work with their Support agent to resolve the issue.
I replied as to who was I to contact and got no response to my email. After sending several emails of weeks, I finally gave up and got help from a legitamate company to get the computer running. This is a complete scam and run-around to avoid with refunding your money. Do not use this company or products, they only want your money.
First off, all these questions before I got to this point about where the company lives, what their email is, what the
phone number is I dont know. Its Neosmart Technologies. They have this what seems like a great free program
called EasyBCD that allows you to make multiple boot partitions, rename them, and even create a nice boot menu.
I thought this was all great until I had to reinstall a Windows XP version on a disk partition. When I did I get an
error called: "windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \system32\ntoskrnl.exe. Please re-install a copy of the above file."
I've tried now for over a week to resolve this error. I've gone on line nobodys solution works. They all say there
is a program that will fix this and its called "Easy Recovery Essentials". After finally deciding to look into getting
this program I discover that its made by Neosmart Technologies, but its NOT free. They want $50 bucks to download
the program and fix the error. It dawned on me that this must be a scam. EasyBCD (a free program) screws up
your bootloader then the damned company that makes it want you to buy a program to fix what it messed up.
I've seen viruses that do this exact same thing. This company I believe is hijacking peoples computers. I'm going
to see what the better business bureau can do. Really got to be careful with free software these days. There is
no way I'm going to pay these bastards for a program to fix what they messed up.
My Acer laptop wasn't working properly, and Acer said they would be unable to repair it because it was so old they no longer had parts for it, so I purchased Neosmart's Windows XP Recovery Disc. Their website says in large letters "Guaranteed to Work or Your Money Back". Their CD made my laptop worse. Now my laptop won't boot; all it does is say "bootmgr missing" tries to reboot and repeats "bootmgr missing". This goes on in a continuous loop.
Neosmart refuses to refund my money unless I waste more time by calling their tech support people. I've wasted enough time on this laptop, and all I want from Neosmart is my money back, as promised in huge letters everywhere on their website.
