Neil Wolf of Neil Construction and I entered into a contract on April 3, 2017, to replace my windows, add two windows, increase the size of one window, add a window seat, and replace my siding. Today is June 2, 2017, and the work is still nowhere near completion. In addition to the duration of the project, which Neil promised would be done in two weeks, we have had nothing but problems with Neil. He failed to get a permit for our job. When we noticed that a header was not used for a very large window, I called the workmanship into question. Neil tried to play it off, but I called the inspector to come have a look. At that time the inspector insisted that work stop until a proper permit was pulled and a structural engineer was consulted. In addition to the work taking much longer than promised, much of what we contracted Neil to do has not been done as promised.
ONe of Neil's subcontractors is now threatening us with a lien because Neil refuses to pay him. We continue to live in a house that is torn apart by this project, while Neil continues to provide us with nothing but constant excuses, broken promises, and general dishonesty.
