Navy Auto Transport Reviews

  • Aug 10, 2017

I purchased a vehicle from out of state and needed to ship it to my residence. I contacted Navy Auto Transport and was given a quote. During the course of getting the paperwork completed, Eric misidentified my vehicle make and model, and misrepresented information during our conversation. I chalked this up to simply being busy. MY MISTAKE!

I signed the contract with all of the information listed, inclusing the vehicle type, cost for service, etc. The day AFTER the car was to be picked up, I got a call from Eric, the Navy Auto rep advising that the driver advised he could not transport my vehicle becasue it was "oversized." I contended that the vehicle, which is a stock Ram 1500 crew cab truck, was listed as such on the contract. Eric then called me back to inform that he had a different driver that would transport my vehicle, but not for the agreed upon price. He stated that he needed to have an answer ASAP in order to reserve the truck. I questioned Eric and expressed that I felt like I was being extorted. He got indignant and stated that he was simply giving me my options.

After thinking obout it, I emailed Eric with my best offer, which was to split the difference between the price Eric quoted me, and the price the "other driver" wanted to take the job. It wasn't until 4:30 AM the following morning that Eric called my house several times, waking me and my spouse up, to advise that he has another driver that will transport my vehicle, but he needs a response ASAP. I asked him for the name and number of the drier and called the driver. I confirmed that the driver would, indeed, move my vehicle, but it wouldn't get to me by the desired time. The driver advised that he was no longer in the area of my vehicle, and that he had been waiting on Eric to call him since the day before to confirm the deal. I told Eeric to send over the contract for me to review. I had already advised Eric what my bottom line would be for a price to pay for the service...don't you know the new contract WAS MORE THAN THE PRICE I said was my top amount that I would pay.

When I ignored the contract and contacted another agent to transport my vehicle, that agent advised that Eric had called hiom to inform that I was already under contract with Navy Auto. I calrified that I was NOT under contract and explained my ordeal, in detail, to the other agent. He agreed that there was no contract and proceded to arrange for transport in 30 minutes with a driver who picked up my vehicle the same day...all for a price that was less than what Eric was quoting me.

My recommendation...find someone other than Navy Auto to transport your vehicle.

Their company claims that you pay nothing until delivery yet they took money from my bank account 2 weeks prior to the pick up date of my car. They not only breached their contract but also commited credit card fraud as well since I never gave them authorization to collect money from my bank account. Do not be deceived by the name Navy Auto transport claim they have regarding serving the military because they are not at all affiliated with the military.

Awful - do not use

Terrible experience and the customer service was non-existent. Too much went wrong for me to even write down all of it. I had a lengthy conversation with Andy when I set up the transport, and was assured that the car would be there during the timeframe promised. The carrier he selected was on their way to pick up the car when I found out that it would be delivered 3-4 days later than I was told and the paperwork stated, when I would not be in the state to receive it. He assured me that he would find someone else to deliver on that date, but did not. He said he would call me back to keep me updated, but he didn’t – I had to keep calling him. He said he could get someone to deliver it on Sunday or Monday (rather than the original day of Thursday). Because of their failure to deliver on the original date, we had to change the address of delivery. Andy told me that he gave the driver the new address, but up until the morning of the day of delivery, the driver still did not have the updated address. We did not get the car until the following Tuesday. No one called me with the timeframe for delivery – I had to call over and over to get updates. The driver also told me that they were going to charge me an extra $100, which I refused to pay, on the basis that Andy told me the price was guaranteed. They also ultimately made me pay the full amount, including the broker’s authorization fee, in cash to the driver because I threatened to dispute their authorization fee with my credit card company (due to their failure to comply with the agreement I signed). Because of Andy, an already stressful move became much more difficult.

I received a initial quote form vanessa rojas at navy atuo transport for $650 to ship two cars at the same time, 700 miles. Two days and less than a week before i was scheduled to sign a contract with this company, she rasied the price and lied about everything she had sent me in email. I told this woman Who should not be in any point of sale position) i would be reporting her to the and she said she didnt care if i told jesus christ and that she didnt need me. Now im stuck finding another company less than a week before a move.
