The GO-780 is an ok unit, but it has some serious drawbacks. I just moved to Apache Junction, AZ; and I use the GO760 to get around town. When I type in an address on Apache Trail (which is the main drag through town), I get as far as Apache Tra and the unit jumps to Apache Greyhound Track. So, I cannot access any addresses on Apache Trail; and this is right after I did a map update.
The other thing is the power cord. The inside of the cigar plug (the part that plugs in to the car) disintegrated and the ground springs on the sides were touching the tip of the fuse and also the inside spring causing a dead short. It's only visible when you take it apart. A couple of blown 20 amp fuses and I finally figured out the problem and insulated everything inside the plug; and now I was able to get it working.
I brought each of these matters to the attention of Navsgo, even indicating that I would purchase another power cord, twice, with no reply. So apparently once you buy it, it's yours and you're on your own. Good Luck!
