Friday, November 20, 2015 Nature's Own Roof Repair From all efforts, including the below email to the Dallas Manager, I never received a response from either the manager, or the repairman. As a 79 year old senior, without recourse, I fear for the elderly who do business with this company and are taken advantage of. (Dallas manager's name), what's happening with my chimney repair. I talked to you Wednesday and told you that my house was still flooding from the chimney leak and you said someone would be here Thursday at 3:00 p.m. I canceled plans for Thursday to be home at that time. When no one showed, or called, I called you but you were unavailable so I left a message with the the lady taking the call, and around 6 p.m. (Repairman) called and said that he was coming but would not be here until sometime after 7:30 p.m. Since I did not want to take the responsibility for him being injured, by putting a ladder from the roof to the top of the chimney in the dark, and the fact that he could not see to work in the dark, I advised him to reschedule his appointment until today, Friday. He advised me that he would need to talk to you first, and would call me back. After an hour waiting for him to call, I called him back and he informed me that you were unavailable (probably gone home for the day.) He promised to check with you this morning and call me with a time that he would be here. After he had not called by 9:30 a.m. I called him, but got no answer, and left him a message to let me know what time I should be at home for his visit. Still no call? I'm not an ugly man to deal with, but this is becoming a ridiculous situation. It will be the third time that your company has attempted to repair what would seem to be a simple repair. I had had the chimney inspected and was told that the leak was coming from the lattice work around the top of the chimney. The first repairmen did not go to the top of the chimney, instead they took a long stick and attempted to place putty into a visible crack at the top. During the next rain the wall and ceiling was dripping with water. (Repairman), a fine young man, caulked around the base of the chimney, and nailed down a board along the side of it, but did not go to fix the cracks at the top. The last rain caused further damage to the wall, ceiling, mantle, and maybe the wooden floor. The estimated repair, to include removal of the mold, now is between $5 and $8,000. I do not want to go online to ridicule the company, or go the legal route for damages at this time, but what am I to do? Your interest and response to my need would be appreciated. Respectfully, (Customer's name)
