NRA started calling and leaving threatening voice mails. They were claiming that this was a pretrial chance to save myself because i was being charged with check fraud. They also threatened to contact my job. I called back actually out of fear and was told that i had taken out a payday loan in June of 2012, made a payment then closed my account, thereby they could charge me with check fraud. I told them i didn't use online payday loans and to send me proof of the loan.
They said that i could have details of the loan e-mailed to me only if i agreed to pay it, I told them I'd pay if they prove I signed something and that it was my debt. Again i needed to agree to pay before they would e-mail anything. I refused and hung up, They immediately started calling friends and family and left the same threatening messages with them. I called back and told them if they call my job or anyone else that I'd press charges of harrassment.
I asked for their mailing address and was told they couldn't give me that for security purposes and that i can get the e-mail address only if i agree to pay. I called a different day and was given the e-mail address by the operator because she thought i was sending documentation of my updated information. I have researched this company online and found that they use the same online payday loan scam with the same loan date of June 2012. I am waiting for another call from them and will get more information if possible to take to a lawyer to see if there is a case against them.
