Joe Hale = fast talking con man. Requested website and packaging design services. Claimed he had problems with this, that, and the other regarding past graphic artists and web designers. Something seemed off when I talked with him on the phone. The jig was up when he accidentally called me a second time about an hour later with the same spiel. Luckily I didn't get ripped off, but judging by many complaints, others have been. Don't be his next victim. Do a search for "Joe Hale National Products" and see all the complaints for yourself.
Joe hale contacted me by phone and told me he found me through someone he met at a rv conference. He was interested in hiring me to make some changes to his websites and told me how difficult it was to find someone who wouldn't flake out on him. He went over the details of the project and i told him i estimated it would take about 4 hours at $50/hour. Once i got into his server i was blown away by what a mess it was. After reading all the reports on this guy, now i understand why, he just hops from one developer to another, getting whatever he can out of each one.
After i completed the initial project, he complained that one of the pages wasn't aligning exactly how he wanted it to in the browser. I told him that what he was looking at was specific to his browser and resolution. He seemed adamant about it and now i know why, he uses that type of ploy to justify not paying someone. I completed the job he requested and spent over 4 hours on it because the server is such a nightmare. When i billed him he told me i waited too long to bill him and that i didn't complete the job he requested. He's been getting away with this for so long i think he believes his own lies and actually thinks he's justified in not paying.
