National Eyewear Repair Reviews

Found this company on the net, National Eyewear Repair, in Phoenix (I'm a zonie as well). I called this company to notify them I would be putting my glasses into mail and to expect them. Their web page indicates they repair Ray Bans. Next day on 10/09/2015 they were shipped out to Phx. Now, these are my only pair of Rx glasses. Well, it took about 2wks to get in contact with this company (NER). His excuse was, he had been out of the office for the past week, I was frantic by then. That's the last words I have heard from this company. I have emailed this company literally begging him to return my only pair of glasses. I'm a 70yr old, living alone here in Calif. He knows I can't just drop in to get into his face or file small claims cause I'm 500mils away. I fell like he's being a big old bullie just because he's think he can get away with this theift. My only income is a mere social sercurity check monthly. My Ray Ban glasses, Lenses were $200 and frames $100. I had them only couple months until this company got their hands on them & kept them. I have yelped this company and not in a good way. I can not afford the cost to replace them. My drivers license indicates I have to wear corrective lenses. Guess what, they are in Ariz. I've sent him a few emails begging him to return my property. I notified AmEx a couple days ago. They of course will refund the cost NER charged me to repair my glasses. But first will ask if he'll return my glasses. I'm needing all the help I can get. At best, this is a deadbeat company. It really comes down to senior abuse.

The lenses were like brand new and I felt it would be worth investigating to see if there was any way to have them fixed before replacing the frames. Neil indicated that he dealt with these types of issues and instructed me to package the glasses securely and mail them to him. I sent a pair of Hugo Boss eyeglasses to Neil for repair on the left arm and weeks after he received them, I finally got a return call sharing with me what options I had to get them functional again. After I agreed on a particular solution, Neil immediately asked me for Payment of approximately $45 dollars. After a few weeks I called and left several messages and he has not returned my call since the discussion of getting them repaired and paying in advance for those repairs which never happened. More importantly, he has kept a very expensive pair of glasses with brand new lenses in them. It’s not even the $45 dollars that concerns me because that I have just written off as a loss, but to keep my lenses that I paid more the $200 for is completely unethical and bad business practices. I would like to take some recourse to get this resolved and put him out of business and behind bars. He’s a thief!
