National Auto Sales 1 Reviews

  • Dec 10, 2015

Signed 2 contracts with dealer and had vehicles delivered a couple days later. Less than a week after this, dealer started calling me about bank interviews, which weren't previously mentioned. Dealer called me later that day upset because I didn't tell the banks what he wanted them to hear. From here forward, his harassment began, and it is summarized as follows:

First he starts calling me stating I need to return to the dealership and sign new contracts, which he leaves on my voicemail, along with how I am supposed to lie to the banks for him. He then starts texting me that he wants his cars back. Next he starts calling my work phone and harassing me at my workstation.

Seeing that he isn't bothering me with his harassment, he starts calling my girlfriend and my mother, getting them involved as well. He threatens me and my girlfriend with felonies and states to my mother that I will be in jail before this night.

Given his abusive nature, I report him to the appropriate athorities. I also post reviews which also don't go his way, naturally. This started in August. It was stated at this point in time that there was to be no further contact by both myself and the dealership.

In December, the dealer calls me again at my workplace. He now requests to speak with my supervisor, which I offered to him back in August. He is now filing a complaint against me that I am using my company resources to harass him. I have held to our August agreement and not contacted him, even though he has yet to provide me any information concerning a 2 year warranty he put onto my vehicle and charged me $1,500 for in August.

I contacted GM Financial and advised them to either provide me with a copy of the warranty or remove it from my contract. They advised me to contact the dealership of which I had to advise them I am banned from doing so by the dealer. They then provided me with a contact telephone number for the company who the warranty was with who emailed me a generic warranty, rather than the one that is actually on my contract.

I started looking the warranty over and it appears almost every piece of the vehicle is exempt from their coverage. Now I'm going to have to recontact them and find out what is actually covered, as well as still getting a copy of my contract with them. I asked them about cancellation at the time I spoke with them and advised them I will have to do this without contacting the dealership, for I am banned from doing so.

This is just the start of what looks like an ongoing process with this dealer. He advised my employer he gave me the option of getting out of the contract. I have a letter from the NC Attorney General which states otherwise. I guess only time will tell where all of this leads.
