I have purchased 6 vehicles from NAP and they will hurt you. They dont care if the vehicle only sales for $20k they will put you into the vehicle for 25k so you cant get out of it. They will also tell you they are giving you the best deal possible because you keep coming back but that is where I made the mistake of believing them. every vehicle I have bought I have ended up having to eat a huge chunk. why did I keep going back, well only because there was a manager and the service department guys were so nice but funny how the manager is gone and the service department guys are gone too.
NATIONAL AUTO PLAZA SOLD ME A TRUCK (2008 CHEVROLET SILVERADO) MADE ME BELIEVE THE FINANCING AND EVERYTHING WAS GOOD TO GO. I SIGNED PAPERWORK AND WALKED OUT THE DOOR WITH MY NEW TRUCK SO I THOUGHT. AFTER A WEEK OF DRIVING THE TRUCK AND SHOWING IT OFF TO FAMILY I RECIEVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL SAYING MY FINANCING HAD FELL THROUGH AND I NEEDED TO RETURN THE TRUCK I TOOK THE TRUCK DOWN THERE AND THE FINANCE MANAGER (OZZY) WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND SAID WELL YOU HAVE CRAPPY CREDIT IN FRONT OF EVERYONE IN THE LOBBY IT WAS EMBARRASSING. SO I GAVE THERE TRUCK BACK AND GOT MY TRADE IN BACK WITH ALMOST 100 MILES MORE ON IT I
HAD PICTURES MY CAR WASNT ON THE SALES LOT THE SALESMEN SAID WELL I TOOK YOUR CAR TO LUNCH THE OTHER DAY TO SEE HOW IT DROVE I SAID " MUSTVE WENT TO OGDEN TO BUY LUNCH" HE LAUGHED NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID ABOUT IT. SO THEN FAST FORWARD A WEEK LATER I RECIEVE A LETTER IN THE MAIL FROM THE CREDIT AGENCY SAYING MY CREDIT WAS RAN FOR A 2016 HONDA ACCORD FROM NATIONAL AUTO PLAZA AND THAT MY CREDIT HAD BEEN FROZEN. WELL ITS NOW OCTOBER AND I CANT GET ANYONE TO CALL ME BACK TO SEE WHATS GOING ON OR HOW THEYRE GOING TO FIX THIS I DONT KNOW WHO ELSE TO GO TO ABOUT THE ISSUE SO IM AT A LOSS.
A little over 2 weeks ago I went into the Sandy,Utah location with a close friend of mine to trade in her old car for credit to so she could get pre owned car through NAP cause they were doing this deal during the month of May 2018 where you could trade in any car for 3,500 anyway, as soon as we got into the showroom we were introduced to a salesman by the name of CASH, right off the bat cash brought up financing in which my friend was already planning on going through America first Credit Union and she made that clear to him in which he then lead into that they use American First for all their loans so my friend let them go ahead the do the application there since that was the case....or so we thought. My friend got a call this morning from a COMPLETLEY different bank in which caused her to call NAP and asked them why they had lied to her on where her loan was going through and explained that both I and her Boyfriend were there to hear and see them say that the loan was through America first and that NOT ONCE did they EVER say another banks name, "Financing Manager" ERIC was the one she spoke to on the phone and the one that did her loan application and helped with the finalization of her trade in and purchase, as soon as my friend started to state her frustrations with this whole situation ERICwas FAR from being understanding and did nothing but call her ridiculous and laugh at her while interrupting her the whole conversation. I work in customer service as a manager and this guy ERIC SHOULD NOT be in the managing position he is in with how terrible I can see he treats his paying customers, this kind of behavior should not be acceptable in any industry but apparently for NAP they dont care about how their customers are treated so they will hire any Piece of s**t person that walks in there. NAP is are all garbage people living on garbage island and this ERICdeserves everything bad that has ever happened to him.
I purchased a 2012 wrx STI, your company advertised it on your website that came with an aftermarket exhaust and an aftermarket intake. I was fine with that as your finance person “Ozzy” I believe his name was, offered and sold me an extended warranty through Ameri-Plus.
The day I pulled it off the lot, half way home the check engine light came on and I scheduled maintenance with your techs at your service center (Sandy) since I had an extended warranty.
Now this is where it gets interesting, no inspector was called from the ameri-plus to approve said repairs nor was their a claim. Their contract specifically says that a claim will not be approved until an inspector comes out and approves the repairs. This did not happen on the first check engine light, but yet you took my deductible and flushed the engine and changed the oil an reset the codes, (codes that were being thrown were p00014 and 16 I believe, basically some issues with oil in the cam.
Flash forward almost 1 year from when I bought it from you. Check engine light comes on again, same codes, this time however I took it to a Subaru dealership. Its the same issue in which you guys "fixed" the last issue where you guys just flushed the engine, the codes were to a much larger issues as there was a pretty loud tick to the engine. So Subaru called the warranty company and an inspector came out to look at the car. He denied the claim and canceled my warranty stating that I should have never been offered the warranty to begin with since the car had mods on it.
The only thing that I added to the care was rims, I bought the car from NAP and it already had the aftermarket exhaust and intake on it when i bought it. I went in to talk to a manager at NAP and they sent me back to a finance guy – The same finance guy OZZY who sold me the warranty.
Ozzy told me that I should not have taken it to Subaru and that if I had issues with the car I should have come to NAP service center first. Which is odd since the contract I signed did not specify that I had to bring it back to your specific service center. I informed him that the warranty company has denied and canceled my contracts and that he should not have sold me the warranty in the first place.
He gave me an excuse saying he didn’t know the car was modded (even though it was advertised on their site that way) and that he just puts in a vin. I’m sure there is some sort of questioner/Flag that you would have to bypass first in order to say yes the car is stock, also that’s kind of a BS excuse, he should have know before he offered, and he should have known not to offer the warranty on a car the had after market parts on it.
The sole reason i proceeded with the purchase of the car is the fact that i had a warranty covering me. Now i dont.
So now my car is getting repaired at Subaru for $6500 as I needed a new short block, instead of the $100 deductable that my warranty cannot conveniently cover now, I have to pay $6500, and doing a search on this site im not the only one this is happening to.
So my question to NAP how was the warranty used the first time? but denied the second time...
I have bought 6 vehicles from NAP. In 1996 I bought a 1992 Ford F150. Then I bought a 2008 Jeep wrangler in 2008, then a 2005 Audi in 2012, then a 2009 Lincon Mark truck in 2013, then a 2013 Ford F250 in 2013, then I bought a 2009 Ford F150, the truck of my dreams, metalic blue. I was told by the manager Jake that it was agreed that since I have bought so many vehicles they would give me a good deal. I bought it for $25,000, found out later it was only worth $18,000. Not so much of a deal. I had so many issues with this truck, the check engine light always came on, the truck would rattle and scare me to death.
I am a single mom of 2 girls. I did not feel safe in this truck at all. I had to use the 4 wheel drive in the snow and it would not engage out, luckly I am way familiar with trucks I knew the trick, after that the 4 wheel drive didnt work. I felt like I needed a new vehicle.
i went to trade it in and I found out this truck was from Canada and used on the oil rigs up there. This was something I was not told. I finally was able to trade this horrible death trap into a dealership but was only given $18,000 for it so I had to put the negative $7,000 into my new truck.
Now tell me how this was a good deal. Since I went through all of this and had it into the shop so many times the manager said not to worry about paying the rest of the down payment that they would wave it due to the problems and the issues. I just found out that I have 2 collections on my credit for $650 and $750. So confused. I know that there has been a turn around of people either tired of lieing to their customers or let go who knows but now since these people are gone they decided to put these on my credit.
BE AWARE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THE VEHICLE REALLY IS WORTH BEFORE YOU SIGN PAPERS AND MAKE SURE IT WAS NOT FROM CANADA, THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU;
they told me they could not fix the few items on my truck because they were upside down in the truck, if I got an attorney they would have to show the amount they paid for it and the amount they made. They will hurt you,
DO NOT GO TO NAP MURRAY OR SANDY.
I talked to Sergio about this situation about 3-4 weeks ago, he said once he talked to the owner Kolby he would call me back on my situation. I went in to see them as I heard the owner was in 7/19/17 and he acted like he had never talked to me. this just shows you what kind of manager they have, he never really cared about my situation and never wrot it down so he didnt remember me, they is horrible service. I do not trust this place and will never refer another person there or buy another vehicle from this place ever again.
DO NOT TRUST NATIONAL AUTO PLAZE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.
I puchased a 2011 chevy traverse on 10-14-2016. The car had the engine replaced by National Auto Plaza service prior to purchase. On 10-14-2017 I signed a sales contract with a $3500 service contract and a trade in of a 2005 Pontiac Grand am and a 1991 Toyota 4runner. The Pontiac was omitted from the contract and a new contract was drawn up.
Iwas assured by the salesman and the finance man that the Pontiac omission was the only change to the contract. I therefor did not re-examine the new contract.
Iinsisted on full coverage powertrain waranty from the beginning of the deal with a hundred dollar deductable because the engine was replaced by a salvage parts company. I was assured by both the sales and finance guys that I had that service contract($3500).
On 2-2-2017 the engine siezed, less than 5 months and with less than 7000 miles since the replacement engine was installed.
When I contacted the waranty service, they informed me that the submitted coverage on my VIN was a $2500 policy with a payout maximum of $3500 on an engine replacement, a maximum tow payout of $65 and a maximum of $175 rental coverage.
I used my AAA to tow the traverse to a chevy dealer service center at my expense.
Upon discussion with the service manager I discovered that a certified GM repacement motor with labor would cost a little under $9000.
I have contacted the salesman, the service dept, the finance man, and a member of management at National Auto Plaza, Sandy, the only thing I was able to get from anyone was a printout of all the service records they had done to the vehicle, and an offer to get repairs done at their shop at their cost.
I refused this offer bvecause of a number of reasons. 1) My original sales contract had a policy that would have completely covered all costs at any repair facility with a $100 deductible. 2) Their automotive service has proven to use salvaged and non-certified parts in thier repairs. 3) Their staff have proven to be self intrested and only concerned with the botom line, not the best intrest of the customer.
I am only open to two (2) options. 1) Pay for ALL costs of repair and resubmit my service coverage with the $3500 policy i should have gotten in the first contract. 2)take the vehicle back, release me from any liability of the loan without a negative credit mark , pay me for the loan payments I have made, pay for the rental car charges, pay any costs at the dealership service that have acrued on the traverse, and returnn my 1991 Toyota 4runner or suitable replacement.
I began my search for a 2008 Saturn sky redline, i know not a car that everyone wants, but it was one that i was very interested in owning. So, after 4 weeks of searching, i found one 890 Miles away in Utah. I was in contact with Chris Galileo, an "internet sales manager" at National Auto Plaza. We had discussed over 2 weeks my trade in, the condition of it, the condition of the car i was purchasing, and the agreed upon price. So, i took the 10 hour journey, to get my "perstine" car (the condition explained of the vehicle before i left) only to arrive to an average condition (at best) car that i arrived to. when i arrived to the dealership, i see a car, that is noticeably used, however has low mileage, is quick, and seems mechanically in decent shape. the interior is in fair shape, not good, nor poor.
However i figured that i could make up for the downfalls in the negotiation process. So, during the buying process, i received a Car Facts (which i requested), that explained that my car had never been in an accident and that the mileage was correct. I foolishly took this as the truth, which i would not find out about until a year and a half later, WAS AN ABSOLUTE LIE. So, my salesman (Chris D. Galileo) gave me a car facts with a 100% clean report. The car that i was trading in was in matriculates condition, not a scratch or dent on the entire car. Now, a year and a half later, when i go to trade in the car, i recive the real Car facts report which explains that the car had been in a MAJOR accident, where frame damage and airbag deployment had accured. I have had my children in this unsafe vehicle, not to mention my own life has been risked by driving this death trap. Since the discovery of this FRAUD, i have investigated CHRISTOPHER D GALILEO, and it turns out not only is he a fraudulent individual, he was prosacuted for MANUFACTURANING OF METHEMPHETAMINE in Arizona in 2002. This company is not only a safe heaven for scam artists, but also for former felons and drug manufactures. i have already obtained legal council, however i needed to make this report to worn others of doing business with these crooks. my lawsuit wit commence later this month, however PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
