I wish I could give this place zero stars. I just bought his car last month and his car has had problem after problem. Me and my wife contacted the dealer and spoke to sales and service management and they either ducked and dodged us and we left several messages trying to complain and they were either "busy" or not there at the time we called.

We understand the car was bought "as-is" but we feel deceived because we were told the car passed with "flying colors," the service directors words verbatim, and since we bought the car we've had to buy a battery and now a water pump. When I did finally get a hold of someone after leaving several messages the people he talked to in so many words said it wasn't their problem.

Worst customer service and bedside manner ever. I am almost convinced they hid these issues from him because I looked over the fine print in my contract and the water pump was covered under a limited warranty and by the time someone got in contact with us outside that window they said, "water pumps are just one of those things" and it was running perfect at the time of inspection, so they knew what they were doing.

We took the car to several local mechanics for their input and they know now not to send people here because they said the service and sales departments are full of it claiming they were unaware of any defects in the car.

There was only one person who I felt deserved an outstanding review and that person will be remained unnamed because I do not want any retaliation coming to them for this review being posted. We feel completely taken advantage of and believe me will be leaving bad reviews on anywhere we can (yelp, BBB, etc).

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at the Napleton Schaumburg Buick GMC. I highly recommend NOT doing any business with the Napleton Group. They sold me a used 2010 VW Tiguan “as is” for $12,822.43 stating the car was in good shape and their mechanics had gone over the car. The car immediately needed $3,351.28 in repairs!

Summary:

Car was returned to dealer within 10 days after purchase thereby meeting the 15-day requirement of Illinois State Law.

Auto mechanic strike 8/1/2017-9/17/2017.

Dealer had possession of the car for more than two months and ultimately refused to provide repairs except paint chips.

Customer tried to negotiate with the dealer numerous times to no avail.

My out of pocket costs to repair the car $3351.28.

Conclusion:

Napleton Schaumburg Buick knowingly sold a used vehicle with major mechanical defects.

Napleton Schaumburg Buick intentionally delayed promised repairs in order to circumvent Illinois Consumer Protection Laws.

By initially returning the car to the dealer in 10 days after purchase, customer is entitled to the protections of the warranty under Illinois State Law.

I now own a car for $16,000 which Napleton politely offered to buy back for $8,000!

I regret choosing to do business with Napleton Schaumburg Buick GMC and it’s manager, Kyle Weck.
