We purchase a winter pool cover, " Eliminator", online for $265 on 6-14-20 in good faith because we liked their guarantee, 7 year warranty on it. A year and a half later, the cover is falling apart in 3 places, becoming brittle and the materials are breaking down. I contacted Namco pools, and I sent them pictures. They responded the cover has been damaged because of wind whipping? and is not covered by the warranty.
I have searched the internet and their are many others with the same problem with this cover that after 2 years the materials are breaking down and its defective and that Namco pools warranty is a mispresentation and frauding customers. Namco pools only offered a $50 credit towards the purchase of another $300 pool cover. How fair is this? I feel they are committing a breach of contract. Having a warranty protects my investment with a product that I believe into giving me years of use as stated in the ad.
The purpose of this best winter on the market, is to withstand the harsh winters with a piece of mind. Under the consumer rights act, it allows me to get faulty goods repaired or replaced up to 6 years.
How could I ever recommend doing business with such a company that frauds its customers and why would I ever consider doing any more business with them. All I want is for a replacement cover as promised when I purchased it and they wont cooperate and stand by their warranty.
