On Oct 4, 2019 I went in to get an oil change on my 2003 Lexus ES 300. I met service adviser Thomas Slowik who advised they were busy and the wait was 1.5 hours. I told him to ensure that they use synthetic oil because in the past Nalley techs had put the wrong oil in and had to drain.
He mentioned he would as I hadn't had an oil change or service in 10,000 miles since 2018. I didn't correct him as I get serviced by LexTechs in Johns Creek. I had to go out of town for my uncle's funeral on Oct 5, 2019 so I agreed to the wait.
Once complete Thomas Slowick advised my car was ready, he showed me a repair estimate with a myriad number of issues that I needed fixed for a total of $10,740.21. I declined because my car is worth about $2,000 and most of the services recommended I have had done or made aware of at LexTechs.
I paid, and he gave me my keys. I got in my car and it would not crank. I tried several times and told the technician that bought my car out. He tried and remarked that it was weird. Tom Slowick, the service adviser, seem agitated and told the mechanic to move out of the way and he tried to crank.
He then points out that my battery tested low earlier and I needed to get another test for $209.63 a line item on my repair estimate or just buy another battery. I told him no and he remarked "suit yourself". I told him to just keep the car since they tore it up and I had no problems until I had service there.
He walked off and back to his office so I had to go inside and ask someone to jump my car so I could leave. They remarked Tom should help but he was out right refusing since I wouldn't agree to any repairs.
