She was cited for misappropriating Black culture. YES... an Asian- American actress got a nod from an association with roots that are supposed to help Black Americans.
This sham of an awards show also only goes for the popular shows without fully supporting quality Black creators.
The awards show is aried on a WHITE-owned station, BET- Sure it stands for Black Entertainment Television, but the network is owned by by the CBS Entertainment Group unit of Paramount Global via BET Networks-at the time of his report.
Furthermore, Ms. Carol Alexander, an entertainment and production professional plays right into the hands of this sham of an awards entity.
