I fell for Matt Westlund's sales pitch a late in 2014. He convinced me to do a 2 year contract for my 6 month old, pre-revenue company. With promises of my company's ad being in front of hundreds of weathly people in the area as well as a full page talking about our company and us upon starting advertising, I was very excited to start getting some customer phone calls and to start selling my services.
Well, it has been 1.5 years and I have received a total of 0 calls and emails from anyone in the neighborhoods his n2 publishing ad is delivered. His response is he never promised I would get any leads from the ad.
I am closing my company, completely shutting it down, and when I emailed him to cancel the advertising he informed me that the contract makes me personally liable and I need to continue paying the advertising fee even though I no longer have a company.
..... Then he accused me of screwing him over by not giving him and his family one of the products my company made.
To recap: I am apparently on the hook to n2publishing for advertising for nearly $200 a month for a company I no longer run because the advertising that was supposed to get me customers to help pay for itself and keep my company running has never gotten me a single customer. Any legitimate advertising agency would cancel a contract with a company for unrendered services when the company goes under, n2 publishing and Matt Westlund don't care how crappy their advertising is and the fact that it directly contributed to bleeding my company dry to the point of closure.
If you are thinking about advertising with N2 Publishing I want to warn you, your $200+ a month can be spent literally anywhere else and be more affective than spending it with them.
We are very sorry to hear about the closing of your business. Please know, N2 Publishing's aim is to support small businesses, and we are more than willing to work with you as your business needs change. Please feel free to reach out to our Billing Department at [email protected]. Our team there will be happy to work to reach a resolution with you.
I was Convinced I would be overwelmed with business by residents needing work in my neighborhood Lake Forest and Magnolia Plantation by the salesperson(Orlando Director) Nicole Geraghty, Yet....Not one call in 18 months. for either neighborhood! and I just figured bad investment, and I shouldn't have fallen for the lies... until I spoke to 2 other advertiser (That I know)that also entererd into a contract with Nicole based on My Being an Advertiser, and are upset they have no call either. I was used to bait other companies....no telling how many being told how many customers I am getting.
I ask very politely to be removed from the Agreement, due to the misrepresentation of how many customers I would receive from the ad. and NON PERFORMANCE ( the fact I was receiving absolutely no response at all in 18 month's of ads). In todays economy wasting money is not an option. But N2 Publishing and Nicole Geraghty refused to release me from this rip off ad
DO NOT ADVERTISE in N2 publishings Neighborhood magazines, NO CALLS
This is Nicole, the sales representative you’ve filed this complaint against. Thank you for giving me to opportunity to respond.
I’d like to first put at ease any concerns about my integrity and my intentions when forming partnerships with local business owners: I love what I do, and I do it because I believe it makes a difference in the lives of both business owners and residents. From the time I first started these publications, my only passion has been to be a part of a more connected and thriving community — not to coerce or “bait” anyone into working with me. I sincerely hope that my good reputation in our community precedes me and that the testimony of countless other satisfied partners dissipates any questions about the ethics of my business practices.
In regards to your feedback that your advertisement has not garnered any response, I’d like to revisit what we discussed at our initial meeting: I cannot guarantee results. No advertising avenue can — not TV, nor radio, nor Groupon, etc. I can promise that you will be exposed to those in your target market repeatedly over the course of your partnership with me, but I cannot ultimately determine whether or not those in your target market decide to buy. I can’t control your prices or your online reviews, or even whether or not people want to purchase your product. I can only promise that your business will be exposed to those in your desired audience, and I have delivered on that promise.
I hope that this response can help clear up some of the misunderstanding between you and I. I wish nothing but the best for your and your business.
Filed a complaint with the North Carolina AG's office and the State of Michigan's Ag office. Total rip off. Other advertisers ripped off as well. Cancelled contract due to misrepresentation. I advised they were not authroized to charge my credit card anymore. They did anyway. Cancelled due to events that were non existent or if one did actually happen no one showed up. Ads were constantly wrong. I was listed wrong in the magazine, advised to correct. Still wrong. Ad corrections were ignored and wrong ads ran. One ad where the disclaimer said: "Information contained in this ad is not deemed accurate or guaranteed". The ad was for sales statistics for REal Estate. The ad rep was an air head. Turns out the only two advertisers I knew that ran ads I called ot see what their experience was after I cancelled my ad to see if I was the only one. Both said the same thing, Hannah lied, avoided their calls, events were cancelled without any notification. Great idea, but cannot pull it off. They offered me a 2200 dollar buy out which. Ifelt was extortion. I spent 4900 at this point and I was just trying to cut my losses. They are trying to hold me to a 30,000 3 year contract even though I was lied to, ads were wrong, and I had enough. I am hoping my experience will at least make people make them proove their promises before falling for this. Truly digusted with this company. I don't have time to be writing these posts and doing all the research I have been doing, but no body deserves this kind of rip off. Espeically when they hide behind "christian values." That is beyond repulsive. There are much better publications in TC to advertise with. And as far as events? Go out and get in the public eye, these events are all but non existent and total BS!
My complaint is very similar to the countless other complaints regarding the misrepresentation and unethical practices of N2 Publishing. In April of 2015 a local representative from N2 Publishing came to my place of business to sell me advertising for a new local publication. I told the rep that I would be willing to try the advertising, but I very clearly explained that I never sign any long term advertising agreements, and especially because this is a new magazine I would not be willing to sign any long term contracts. The rep told me that the company feels that repetition provides better results. Again, I very specifically reiterated that I am willing to give it a try but will not sign any long term contracts.
She went on to say that she would at least have to reserve my placement in this new publication, and obtain credit card information for billing which I agreed to sign. I asked for a copy of the paperwork which she said she would send to me as soon as possible. Months went by and I never received the documents.
Over the next few months I received emails requesting artwork submission in July (which we supplied) for the release of the August issue. The company started billing my credit card. The August issue never went out. I contacted the rep who told me that release was delayed until September. I expressed my concern and told her that I found it unacceptable that this company sees fit to bill my card prior to the publication even being distributed, but she assured me that it was their practice and the issue would be going out shortly. Another charge went on my credit card but the publication was still not released. At this point even the rep admitted she was concerned with their practice. By the time the magazine was finally delivered almost eight weeks after the promised delivery date a third charge was put on my card, and by the way the quality of the publication was nothing like the sample I was shown back in April.
At this point (early October – six months after the rep visited my business) I immediately told the representative to pull my advertising to which she responded “but you have a contract”. I once again said that I never agreed to sign any contract and please send me a copy. She forwarded some unsigned hand written document stating I have a 24 month contract. I immediately took exception to this and told her repeatedly that I never, nor would I ever agree to sign such a contract. I started getting threatening emails from N2 Publishing stating that I was responsible for the entire contract. I called my credit card company and disputed all the charges. The company finally sent me some scanned document with the reps handwriting that said the term was 24 months, along with some almost illegible page of small print, neither of which were given to me during or after the initial transaction.
I have contacted an attorney and have prepared a sworn affidavit which is being entered into public record revoking my signature on these documents for good cause. Some of the reasons sited include but are not limited to misleading, deceptive and fraudulent practices, inability to deliver the promised services within the stated timeframe, failure to disclose the details of a document that you are coerced into signing, and falsification of documents. Additionally, I have done some research and discovered that this practice (or similar variations) of N2 Publishing is a common occurrence which qualifies as a reason for investigation regarding a class action lawsuit.
I was solicited by Bob Chasan in Tucson. I finally agreed to a listing for 24 months, but grew suspicious later. It was not easy but I finally got my "contract" e-mailed. He had written in 48 months instead of the 24 he told me it would run. Of course I never should have trusted him but at the time I felt it might be a good idea. I am all for a CAL!
Lack of integrity to any principles, let alone Christian principles. Scapegoating under a Christian cloak when these people in effect self service with no integrity to even type of business scruples. They lie and cheat you out of your money. Do not, I repeat do not listen to any of their sales pitches and whatever you do, do not think you are ever going to get a return on whatever contract you sign with them.
Hi, there. While we realize your opinion of us likely won’t change, it’s important we address a few false statements in your comment, both to give you clarity and for anyone else who may read your review. We are not a Christian company. However, our founders are Christian and do instill the value of treating people with respect in every part of the business. This goes into our training, which every Area Director must complete before launching a publication. We certainly don’t teach our ADs to “lie” or “cheat.” Rather, we partner with local businesses who want to form relationships with the residents in the communities we serve, and we have more than 30,000 satisfied clients because of this. We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to respond and set the record straight.
They keep charging us for services they are not providing and do not answer phone calls or emails. They parade Christian and family values yet when I googled the company everything says they are a scam and fraud. I found over 50 other people with stories just like mine. The stories all describe how they take advantage of small business owners and bully them. This is really sad because my husband works very hard for our family. I am a graduate student and we have a young infant. We are newly married with a mortgage and it is heartbreaking to get taken advantage of this way. It was a hard and expensive lesson to learn. We signed up after a five hour intense sales pitch only to later realize they had scammed us. If they don’t leave us alone and stop charging us for services that they did not provide, then I am going to tell our story to everyone I can and contact every consumer advocacy group I can find such as Clark Howard and Action 9 Todd Ulrich. I will even create a website and invite all the other people who were ripped off to post their stories too. I am a great website designer and I understand search engine optimization very well!
N2 publication here in St, George Utah, Tyler Pack he is a CON MAN SCAM ARTISTS! BEWARE BEWARE! They DONT DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO! Please DONT SIGN THIER CONTRACTS! THEY are not honest and have full intentions to take YOU TO COURT WHICH THATS WHAT THEY HOPE FOR! SCAM ARTISTS! BIG TIME! SHARKS ATTACK WHEN YOU CATCH ON TO THEM THE GOT A CONTRACT! Dont sign ther contracts run them off. Be ware.
My name is Tyler Pack and I am the local area director for N2Publishing and oversee the community publication Little Valley Living. Our community publication is a neighborhood newsletter filled with stories and articles spotlighting the families and events in our community. The printing and design costs of our neighborhood publication are paid for through print advertisements within the publication.
On January 13th, 2014 I met with the owners of Cloud’s Moving Company who purchased an advertising position in our publication. We created an ad for Cloud’s Moving Company, ran that ad in the publication for several months, created a special full page article spotlight for Cloud’s Moving Company, and invited their representatives to attend our community events in order to build relationships and network within our community. After several months Cloud’s Moving Company stopped making payments for their advertising which continued to cost myself and my business money as we continued to print their ad in the publication as we had agreed in the advertising agreement. For several months I attempted to contact Cloud’s Moving Company through email, phone calls, text messages, and stopping by their office. My calls and attempts to contact them to discuss their advertising were never returned.
After several months of no response from Cloud’s Moving Company and in an attempt to receive payment for the work we performed and agreed upon in the advertising agreement that Cloud’s Moving Company signed, a small claims suit was filed. The Washington County District Judge, after reviewing the case and advertising agreement, ruled in favor of N2Publishing and myself and ordered Cloud’s Moving Company to pay the remaining amount on the advertising agreement. It was after the court ruling that Cloud’s Moving Company and their owner Debra Cloud posted this report.
Never was an attempt made to “scam” or “take advantage” of Cloud’s Moving Company. We are very proud of our community publication that is beloved by the residents in our neighborhood. We greatly appreciate the businesses that sponsor and support our community through their advertising. We do everything in our power to maintain positive relationships and build up all our business advertisers and it is disappointing when someone has an unfortunate experience, but we will continue to do all we can to create value for all our business advertisers.
I signed an “authorization “ for payment receipt and it turns out they had a “contract” on the back which was not discussed. It wasnt until i tried to cancel they told me i couldnt cause i signed a contract. This is fraud. I was told it was to authorize payment, not lock me into thousands of dollars theu are threatening to sue over because i want to discontinue service
DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! They are scammers!! I didnt sign a “contract” i signed for authorization to use my card for charges and on the back in fine print is your “contract” very dishonest sales! Says you cannot terminate! It was not a contrat!! It was a sales recipt that they are using as a signed contract! Zero returns from this advertising! I dont even think the community see the magazine cause not a single person who has ever signed up with N2 has gotten a single call except for the “garage door guy they like to use as an example! I get up to 10 calls a day from google for 1/4 price! Now they want to threaten me that i have to pay the remainder of my contract to cancel??? That was NEVER discussed or I would have NEVER signed a thing!!! No one will enter a contract they cant cancel at any time especially a small business! Fraud and misrepresentation at it’s finest! Again, DONT SIGN ANYTHING!
I signed on to advertise in Saddle River Magazine in 2016. After 14 months of advertising and not receiving any results, I called to discontinue the monthly ad, for which I am paying $399. each month.
When I signed on I was also told that they would not take other ads from businesses in my field and they would try to maintain exclusivity; however, now they have at least 3 other similar competing businesses.
When I called to discontinue advertising I was told the commitment was for 3 years. I am in business for 44 years and I would never commit to a 3-year term....especially when results are not proven. My feeling is that the 36-month term was added after I signed.
My efforts to have this amended have gone ignored. I have been promised by Aaron Klein that he would return my calls; however, he has avoided doing so.
I would not recommend this company and I feel their methods are devious and deceptive.
Hi, Ron. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Since posting this review, you've been in touch with our team, and we're happy to have reached a resolution with you. Thank you for your partnership, and we wish you the best moving forward.
Was told my business would be focal point. Lies. Was told rep would personally bring in leads. Lies. Was told I could cancel if not happy..Big lie. Was told he would meet other clients at my location To bring awareness lies.....
I told them I was unhappy at 6 months and they refused to let me cancel. Money more important to them then working with customers. Jason Stern and N2 Publishing are not to be trusted. Bad business all around..
Hi, there. We’d be happy to clear up some misunderstandings here. As a company who partners with more than 30,000 clients, we rely on our Advertising Agreements as the official, go-to documents that outline exactly what businesses like yours can expect from us as a company. According to our signed agreement, we did not promise exclusivity, or the ability for the merchant to cancel the contract term. These stipulations were agreed upon from the beginning, and haven’t changed. While we can't guarantee residents will use your services, we can introduce you to your ideal client base and plant the seeds for that relationship.
We understand you are dissatisfied, but we hope these months of advertising still spread some general brand awareness about your business to our residents. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond, and we wish you the best of luck in the future.
This company is a scam- DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, or your signature.
Two year contract showed NO FEEDBACK- not one Single lead.
Bullies, manipulative, and false.
Immediately after signing (N2Pub saleswoman, Jennifer Atkinson, pushing Floor salesman into signing), our company Owner did not want to move forward with advertising, but they told our company that our floor sales man was a representative of our company, and he had already signed the contract; futhermore, they said they would send us to collections, whilst knowing full well that the salesman was FIRED for this trasngression. This all occured prior to even the first ad design (which we were charged a whomping "discounted" $299.00, which amounted to an inferior design: a simple floating image of our company crew accompanied by block letter font of our business name, address, hours, and phone number)...
24 months at a "discounted" $256.00= $6,144.00 spent on this "magazine" advertising company.
Run Away from this dishonest and unprofessional company.
This is a warning to any business that wants to advertise with N2 Publication. I had agreed to run ads in 2 of their communities. After 7 months, this advertising had yielded no results at a cost of almost $5000. Our business hit a slow period and funds drastically tightened at the end of last year. I asked N2 to put a hold on my advertising until I was able to cure the $700 in arrears and had a clear path forward of paying for my ads. N2 pulled my ads for 2 months and then sent me a demand notice for $2100 plus penalties And allotted 2 weeks for this payment. They were billing me for the 2 months that no ads were published. I refused to pay and told them to cancel all future advertising. So the short version of their response is below. Take special note to the $6,480.00 in penalties.
Invoice # 91309 signed a non-cancellable contract on 05/03/2016 for 36 months at $700.00 per month. You stopped making payments after the November 2016 invoice which breached the contract. This left a balance due of $21,600.00 plus $6,480.00 in penalties. N2 Publishing would like to pursue $28,080.00 however, N2 is willing to accept a settlement offer if you are interested in offering. A copy of the contract is available for review. It is always our goal to prevent accounts from being forwarded to our attorney however, at this time we are gathering all relative information that is required by the attorney to forward your account for legal collection.
Thank you and look forward to your call. Professionally, Rick Lockwood Commercial Recovery Supervisor ***I have forwarded their contract to my attorney and I intend to fight this in court. If you look closely at the social media ratings you will see many similar complaints against this company. They are standing on the backs of small businesses in these communities to support a failing business model while forcefully having a stranglehold around the business owners financial neck. The only possible reason for a three year contract is they already know the advertisers will not renew their contracts due to lack of performance. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome of their threatened lawsuit against me. Tom DePalma
We are faced with a very similar circumstances. What happened with your case? Did they sue? What was the outcome if they did? Any help would be appreciated.
This company is a TOTAL SCAM and a complete WASTE OF MONEY!!! They falsely get you to sign contract for longer then originally agreed. At the time of contract signing, I had agreed to a 2 year contract. The representative said he wasn't able to leave a copy of the contract and would send it through an email later that day. Today as I'm dealing with trying to cancel the contract, the company is stating that I am locked in for 3 years! They won't let me cancel! The ad has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for my business. I haven't received a single call or inquiry from this advertising. I'm spending $250 on advertising that does nothing for me. DO NOT ADVERTISE WITH THIS COMPANY!!! The company is a SCAM and will be reported to the BBB.
Unable to get a hold of anyone, phone lines do not work properly and they send you to voice mail, they are refusing cancel our contract, the contract contradicts itself and is not clear. I recently discovered multiple negative reports about N2 Publishing online stating the company scams people, and other similar complaints.
We are very sorry you've had a difficult time getting it touch with us. Please reach out directly to our Billing Department at [email protected]. Our team there will be happy to address your concerns and work to reach a resolution with you.

Response from Tyler Pack
Hello,
My name is Tyler Pack and I am the local area director for N2Publishing and oversee the community publication Little Valley Living.
Scammers!
Response from N2 Publishing
Response from N2 Publishing
Tom DePalma
Outcome
N2 Publishing Complaint
Unable to get a hold of anyone, phone lines do not work properly and they send you to voice mail, they are refusing cancel our contract, the contract contradicts itself and is not clear. I recently discovered multiple negative reports about N2 Publishing online stating the company scams people, and other similar complaints.
