The company, Myfax, J2, Consensus Cloud Solutions or whatever name they go by are frauds, the epitome of DECEPTIVE business practice. They display “cancel anytime” on their website yet they make it virtually impossible for you to cancel services. I used the service 1 time to send a fax in October of 2022. I tried to cancel the same week. I spent an hour on the website trying to figure out how to cancel to no avail. I then messaged the company via email on 10/12/2022 stating I wanted my service cancelled immediately. I received a message back saying I had to do it online, email or over phone. I tried online, they give clear steps to take, should be easy to cancel, but it just leads you in loops but no actual place to cancel. I tried email and still it was not cancelled. I called many times and was either disconnected every time I pushed an option to speak to a representative or no one answered. They continued to pull random amounts out of my account every month. I used the service one time to fax a document to Veterans Affairs and tried to cancel once it was verified my fax was received. They have taken $12 out some months and $16.95 on others while I hadn’t even used it!! I was finally able to reach an actual person today 03/29/23 from a DIFFERENT phone number, not the one provided on the website. 1-866-450-9995 was the number left on my voicemail yesterday 03/28/23 as they tried to charge my card and it was declined, they wanted payment. The representative I was connected to, Moe, refused to give me his last name or a reference number for the call, told me I couldn’t cancel until 4/23/2023 as they took $12 for April’s payment already. I told him no, I wanted it cancelled and my money refunded for all the months I did not use the service as he can clearly see from my file. He told me they do not offer refunds even though I stressed how difficult they make it to cancel and how many times I tried to cancel it. I asked to speak to a manager and he said that there is not a manager for me to speak to and that “someone would call me back at a later time.” That is unacceptable as this has been dragging on since last year October 2022. They are just beating around the bush to drag out more time so they can charge you again. He then hung up on me as I told him this was shady business practice and sounds like a scam to steal money from people. I was filing a complaint with the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission since there was “no manager for me to speak to.” I called the number back and reached a woman, who also informed me they do not do refunds but moe “lied” and it could be cancelled and its now supposedly cancelled. She also refused to give a last name and told me her employer says they don’t have to give that out. How am I supposed to reference who I spoke with if the lady’s name is Mary and 30 people that work there share the same first name? I am a disabled veteran, I am on a fixed income and struggle to make ends meet as it is. This has created a huge financial hardship for me and constant stress as I have been unable to cancel and continually charged. This is a scam, they take all kinds of money from you knowing it’s nearly impossible to cancel your subscription. It is stealing money and it’s taking advantage of disabled people who don’t have the means to physically go fax a document somewhere.
So I signed up for the myfax monthly service plan that is advertised to give me 50 pages of faxed documents for $5 per month.
In October, they charged me the $5 then $10- 4 times for the service.
After I called them they stated that in reality they charge for some kind of time period(s) that the faxing actually takes so somehow a time period equates to a number of faxed pages so if your faxes take a long time (duration) to send or receive, they charge you more.
Supposedly that is in their customer agreement somewhere but they advertise that they offer xx number of pages for xx number of $$. I told the rep that was not explained to me when I signed up and I have no control over how they send or receive the faxes or the connection to the other party and explained that I don't think its fair that they charged me over and over and in amounts/increments I never agreeed to.
Their rep stated he could give me a one-time courtesy credit/refund of $30 to the payment card I used or to credit the account. I asked for the credit/refund to my payment card. I called back a few days later when the credit/refund did not show up in my bank (payment card account).
They advised it could take 3-5 business days so I waited a week and emailed back. In the meantime, I contacted another company and switched my fax number to the new company.
When I emailed back to ask about the credit/refund I am being told that they had appplied a $20 (not $30 as agreed) credit to the account but now that I have switched companies the only thing they can do is give me a refund of the unused credit on the account of $10.40.
I feel like they are falsely advertising the fact that you pay $$ for xx pages when they actually are charging you by some kind of time duration that they equate to pages.
Further, I feel like they should refund my payment card as agreed upon but they will not.
I'd like to inform anyone online that they operate in these deceptive and dishonest ways and told them as much too.

I immediately called to cancel and they refuse to refund me. Their website states CONTRACT, CANCEL ANYTIME. NO SURPRISES! Really!?!? Huge suprise to know I have just spent $260 to send 1 fax.
Offers FZX services online and keeps billing whatever they want if you cancel. Two written requests were ignored and I was charges again and $5.00 for a late fee for the cancelled months. Beware of this company especially in the United States as they are a foreign country and they don't seem to care about US laws. Buyer beware!

Then after the FREE month they charged me. When I went to pay my bill and saw the monthly charge they said I was calling too late! They would not refund the monthly charge!!!
