My partneres and I were looking for a business lines of credit for a newly formed LLC. an associate reffered us to My Venture Nation.
We made an appointment with My Venture Nation a man named James Jones introduced himself and told us he was the owner and he worked for the company. He informed us for $1997 that he could help build the business credit in a short period of time with a program that guaranteed an 80 Paydex score within 120 days or your money back.
We decided to give it a try and wrote him a check for $1000 and the remainder would be due in 14 days. After paying the remaining balance James wanted to see the corporate record book with the company EIN number he said the would have to change a few things so we could qualify for business credit so I left it with him.
A month goes by and I call to check on the progress James assures me that everything is fine and that we should be approved in the next 30 days. After 60 days still nothing, so we made another apppointment with James at his office and he said with our credit scores so high there should be no problem and that he and his team were working on it.
After 90 days went by I asked for my corporate record book back. He told me to meet him at his office to pick it up. To my surprise he never showed up... He rescheduled several different times after that to meet with him but he never showed up. To this day he never returned the book; He always had excuses why he didn't make it to the office but he continued to assure us that everything was fine and in the next 30 days we would be approved or he would return the $1997 we paid him.
We waited for 120 days still nothing so I requested a refund per the contract we signed. He changed his phone number and moved his office to an unknown location. I have left him miuliple texts and messages with no resopnse from James Jones or My Venture Nation regarding my refund and returning the corporate record book. I didn't want to believe this was all a lie and a scam because he came highly reccommended from a trusted friend I have know over 20 years. I conatacted the person that reffered us to My Venture Nation and he informed me that three other people including himself was scammed out of thosands of dollars by My Venture Nation and James Jones.
The same old lies were told to them that was told to me " An 80 Paydex score in 120 days or recieve your money back" I still did NOT want to believe we all had been ripped off out of so much money by the same person. I went back to the office where I first met James Jones and asked the receptionist at the front desk "Where is James Jones?" she said I don't know a lot of people have been looking for him lately; he no longer has an office here.
