On monday yje 9th of october when i syarted driving in the morning after leaving the scale house in lentucky i immediately noticed a load grinding noise in my drive tran i assumed i was losing my transmission.i call mhc kenworth in naahville explained what was going on.and i was heading there way.i got there drooped the truck off for them to check out.later that day i called to get a up date.i talked to alisha she said they ordered me a clutch rod mine was wore out .i then ask her do i need a transmission she paused for maybe 10 seconds.then came back on phine and said yes i did.so i ok the job.i gave them till noon the next day.
i actually left there yard at 3 am wednesday morning.i had deliveries to do.i delivered to us foods early that morning then drove to dothan alabama and spent the night.i turned my truck off as usual a d started my generator.the next morning got up little after 5 am made coffee started driving little before 6 am.i immediately started hearing the same noise i called mhc kenworth .a couple of times before i got service on the line.i asked him if he could hear that noise he said no not over then phone.i asked him how he could not i called 2 of my friends and they could hear it..he told me to bring it back and the would look at it.my reply was im down in florida now.so i continued to drive to the prison in marrianna fl to deliver the grinding continued for a half hour a nd stopped So after my delivery.i drove to performance peterbilt in nashville tn. As luck would have it.the service manager worked for mhc nashville for 4 years.i explained what the problem was and that mhc had just put a new tranamission in the truck the day before.they took a look at my truck and in 5 to 10 minutes the figured out what was wrong with my truck. I had 3 leaking air bags 1 with a big hole in it you could hear 10 feet away from the truck and 2 with slower leaks. By leakig air like that it was not allowing ghe suspension to air up all the way.there for binding up my drive shaft. I called a couple time to get ahold of anthony scott servi e mamager and mhc nashville.when he finaly returned my call I w Explained the situatio and asked who diagnose my truck and that I had specifically asked Alicia if I needed a new transmission and she said yes when that was not the problem at all he asked for a little time to get with his people and he would get back with me and find out everything. he has yet to get back with me that's been over a week ago. I have called him on the few occasions and left messages. he won't return my calls and of course they have their arbitration agreement on the repair order sales orders and so forth. so now I have to start the arbitration process which is going to cost me more time and more money and they know this I have done business with MHC Kenworth for years but never again I am completely done with this outfit
His nightmare started in Feb 2016. We went to the Kenworth dealership in Atlanta Georgia and we're sold a dream. The truck salesman, Jaime Crate assured us he had a "great truck" who now I am sure knowingly knew that this truck was traded due to the various problems that have been passed onto my company. Not even 2 weeks into owning the truck, it broke down and was in the shop causing us to lose a major contract. Shortly after, the truck was on the road in another 10k miles it was back in the shop again. Always for he same codes then he repair tells us it's something different. This newest time takes the cake! It has been in the Joplin Service center not even a month ago and we were assured it was fixed. $ 400 for a $16.00 part! Talk about price gouging!! Now 11k miles later it's back in the Dallas Service center for the same code, and the foreman, Matt Patrick tells us he is a pro at warranty work and he's going to make sure if the issue is to be covered then it will. NOPE!!Now they want another $2k for what they say is "same but different"! Owners beware! We bought Kenworth because of the name but had we n own the shorty workmanship and lack of customer service along with not having a quality product, was to follow, we would've bought a Peterbuilt! I've lost more customers than I've gained and I wish at some point MHC would do the right thing!!
There were SO Many issues in the purchasing of a semi tractor from MHC Kenworth but The biggest of all issues is they claim to have "lost" my $9000 cashiers check and are demanding another $9000. My bank says I am liable to pay should the other cashiers check get cashed in the future...possibly making me pay $18,000!! Yet MHC kenworth Gaineville Ga, says if I don't send them another $9000 they will report the truck stolen!!! All because of their poor organization?? No!! Mhc Kenworth also lied about the warranty. We'd spoken for a couple weeks with all details, as we're not local to them...across the country as a matter of fact. So I'm the truck buying process I was very thorough. One thing we specifically spoke about was a 1 year Paccar Warranty included. Juan explained that it was the basic warranty. Which I told him we'd need much more coverage in both time and covered components. We then agreed to extend the warranty and up the coverage at an agreed price (just at $4000) Once I flew in and landed across the country they said there was an addition $900 for the upped warranty coverage...denying we'd agreed prior.
After test driving and having an obvious bad clutch...They said they'd replace the clutch and I'd have to get a hotel room. Which they'd reimburse. Upon morning they said it was replaced, that they'd worked over night. I again test drove to find a clearly bad clutch. They finally DISAGREED to change th clutch (which means they obviously did not fix it the evening prior.) They also defined hotel reimbursement. Before agreeing to purchase the truck, I'd called and asked do I need to register with each state before driving the truck back to California. Juan specifically stated, no. That he would give me a temporary transport tag which will get me across all states as long as I'm bobtail. He failed to give the transport tag and I was fined at most states. Due to his negligence I was delayed enormously because I had no choice but to begin calling hours ahead in hopes to alert them if my entry into the state, and avoid the fine. Now, even back in California I being harassed for an additional $9000. They say if I don't send it they will call the police, report the struck stolen and of course not process the paperwork, delaying my ability to register the truck and get it on the road. Oh, they wouldn't give the trucks previous service records stating that its private records of MHC. Service records???
This experience has been a nightmare. At one point I requested a manger. To be lied to by as sales man stating that he WAS the manager. Only for later another person to come out stating he was the manager. There was no one throughout this sale who took responsibility for the actions or poor actions of the dealership. As another complaint stated, no one would listen. No one cared. It was their way or the highway. I WILL be contacting corporate also and am prepared for a legal battle.
