I purchased a retired Siberian cat from a local breeder in the Midwest who said she got her from another breeder. I looked up his information only to find reports matching her condition…what was her condition? SEVERE STOMATITIS, sores all of her body from matted fur.
It had to have been matted for so long and so bad for it to have gotten to a point of sores on her body, and she was malnourished! She was only 6 pounds and I could feel her spine. This was clearly neglect and abuse. Now I know this breeder in Texas is neglecting these poor Siberian cats and other animals.
I feel so sorry for my cat. She couldn’t eat because of the pain in her mouth and that’s why she was so skinny. I wouldn’t doubt if she was overbred at a young age judging by her small size. Nobody cared about her.
Sadly, by multiple doctors opinions the only real solution was to have her teeth removed since there’s no cure for stomatitis this severe. Luckily we have one of the small handful of dentists living right here in IL who is renowned for his work on zoo and aquarium animals and he was able to perform the best surgery to have all her teeth removed.
She has gained weight to a healthy weight now and is pain free. PLEASE SHUT DOWN LARRY’S BUSINESS!
