There have been multiple times when I've not been paid on time. As a community driver with MTM, I have to furnish my own everything. My own gas, car repairs, insurance etc. and when they dicide they're not going to pay you, you don't even get a warning. they just don't pay you till they feel like it. None of us that I know of were paid during the Christmas and New Years weeks and we were still asked to do our jobs.
The drivers I know do there best to do a professional job. Get the clients to their appointments on time, Don't make them wait hours to be picked up and keep our vehicles in running condition so as not to have the client broken down on the side of the road. I've asked several times for the name of someone in charge so that i could make my complaint known up the chain of command and been told that there is no one, like i'd believe that!
When they do write back they just say talk to your rep who has no power at all but to tell you that they will try to contact them and get an answer for you and most times you don't hear from them either. It's as though they want to hold on to the money you've worked for so they can get more interest yet it's your money, you've spent money to do the job and they don't care. They don't care if you're too broke to eat, they don't care if you have elderly parents to take care of, don't care if you have bills to pay. Just get the job done and wait till they pay you.
They don't mind lying to you either "the check was mailed on time" "it's the fault of the post office" "there was a glich in the system" Seems like it should be illeagle to hold on to our money that way when we've had to spend our own money just to make it. If you have any choice at all, don't work for MTM. Believe me, No matter how good you try to perform you job, they won't care. They will screw you.
Long history of ripping off providers. Will make transportation companies drive to pick up patients all over Florida state and will cancel the trip without notifying patient or transport company so the provider did the trip for free. This company will lie about rates saying that they will pay a certain amount for the trip but when you bill the rate is less than half of what you agreed upon and they lie saying they will fix the adjusted rates but never do. When you call their office to speak to supervisor they never pick up the phone and never respond to emails.
They cancel trips for patients who are on dialysis and need life or death treatment but they dont seem to care. Company is as disaster and is bad for seniors and healthcare industry.
MTM Medical Transportation Management I would not recommend any government and/or insurance agency to contract through this company. This company is all about making themselves a buck. They have subsidiary companies owned by the same family such as Ride Right that they force employees to set trips with. Normally when setting a trip for a member to get to their Dr. appointments they want the csr's to use the cheapest vendor that comes up in a list of vendors for that area, unless of course their own company comes up which is Ride Right then the reps have to choose them even though they might be double the price of the next vendor down the list who is more than likely closer to where the member needs to be picked up from.
This is because they put the money in their own pockets. I know they don't pay vendors like they are supposed to, the vendors have to spend hour and hours calling just trying to get paid for the services they have performed. I know they don't pay members for the gas mileage reimbursement that some are forced to utilize as they may have no vendors in that persons area. Half the time they don't even send valid bus passes and when trying to reach the bus department to find out what is going on, there is no one there to answer. They constantly take on new contracts without being prepared in the least to provide the transportation in that area.
They recently took on the state of Nevada and had and still have no clue what they are doing. They can't even keep supervisors employed there. Speaking of supervisors, what a joke. When a member calls in and asks to speak with a supervisor they just get a regular customer service rep, the supervisors don't take calls. For a short time they had certain reps that were skilled for appropriately handling the supervisor request calls then they decided to put every single rep under the same blanket, with the same pay and a lot of times a huge lack of skills and have them all answer the supervisor request line. The employee turnover is going up faster now due to the changes, they took away the possibility for any employee growth, they also took away bonuses, all so the owners running under an LLC can get richer faster.
MTM representative told me if I don't tell the name of my medicine he couldn't set my transportation trip. That is a HIPAA rights violation. Blue Cross Blue Shield grievances and complaints about MTM their transportation provider company they contract with through the government go nowhere. MTM blames insurance for asking even what kind of medicine is at pharmacy, another HIPAA violation. If pharmacy days medicine can wait to be picked up another day MTM does not set the trip. MTM basically does what they want especially on weekends. MTM left me stranded at hospital in 2016 after waiting for over four hours of hospital discharge.
They use telecast on Joliet ok heavily as their only 24 hours transportation. Telecast did a lot of no call no shows for me. Then Naperville subpage was taking up slack for telecast lack. Then because I didn't want to ride with about 5 drivers who either made me miss appointment by being unprepared, were ride or interrupted Dr appointment. Blue Cross Member service representative dispersed and kept saying you are complaining against the whole company. So they no longer set with Naperville dupage.
Care coordinator against my better judgement encouraged me to ride with telecast because they are the only ones who are 24 hours that MTM contracts with or else MTM would leave me stranded if I didn't ride with who they were forcing me to ride with. Their supervisors most of them are rude too. Often I use nitroglycerin heart medicine when calling their call center. It is very stressful calling them. Sometimes blue cross blu shuel member services call on conference call with me, but they appear helpless to do anything about the evil MTM representatives and supervisors. MTM is the worst.
One blue cross blue shield representative told me that before I even because a member of blue cross blue shield of illinois that they though blue cross got rid of MTM contract as a provider and they rejoiced only to realize that blue cross blue shield decided to contact with them anyway. MTM is very unprofessional and the customer service representatives most of them make insulting comments. Most are racist and accuse people of talking over them. They are an evil transportation call center. The absolute worst company I ever ever encountered. The Worst company I ever encountered.
I continue to have problems receiving mileage reimbursement for my travel to medical appointments. I have copies of the "Transmission Verification Report(s)," but MTM has now denied, for the second time, that they ever received it/them. They denied they received my "Trip Log" faxed 11 August 2016, but when I spoke with complaints, MTM suddenly found it. On 9 September 2016, I faxed Trip Logs for medical transport dated as far back as 23 August 2016 and most recently as 9 September 2016. I re-faxed them on 26 September 2016. I was told today, 29 September 2016, that it will be 5 October 2016 before a deposit will be made into my account. That will be 3 weeks and 5 days since I submitted the logs...that is a week and 5 days later than the projected reimbursement. That may not sound like much, but I have no money for food, gasoline for additional medical appointments and the 2 prescriptions I need! There have been other issues with MTM, but I'll report that as needed. This company needs to be shut down...they're greedy and just want to keep the money Medicaid is paying them to either transport sick patients or reimburse them for their travel to medical appointments!
My 2yo daughter has severe epilepsy and we have been using MTM for rides back and forth to drs and specialists. She has a appt. Set for her MRI on the 25th of Jan we set the ride up on the8th of Jan. Here it is the 24 the and was told that the ride has not been set for one reason or another. This is my daughters health that we are talking about. If we where able to drive ourselves we would bit are unfortunately not able to as we can't afford a vehicle of our own. They say that they are here to help and so far have been nothing but trouble.
