I was very excited about a "hands on" course he offered in my area and signed up immediately. The day of the course I showed up, well-rested and ready to learn! Sadly, I was the only one there.
The manager of the venue had NO IDEA who Terry Whin-Yates was or that any course was going to be held that day. I contacted Mr. Whin-Yates and he apologized for not informing me that the course I paid for had been cancelled. He said he would refund my $300 as soon as he was able to but didn't.
I have attempted to contact him dozens of times but he screens the calls and never answers. I've used every phone number I have but he only ever answers the new numbers once. Once he realizes it's me calling about my refund, he starts ignoring the new number.
I was VERY patient and polite. I called him "sir" and "Mr. WHin-Yates". I called saying "This is a friendly reminder that I'm still waiting for the refund you promised me". I did everything I could and he's had every opportunity to do what he promised.
Now I realize he was just playing a game to run out the clock on how long PayPal will allow for refunds. Now I have zero recorse other than filing some complaints in hopes people see his shady business practices.
I'm shocked to see (not surprised) how many other people had the same thing happen to them. I think he offers a course, see's if he can get enough people to sign up, and when there isn't he just goes on to the next possible course. No contacting paid customers. No refunds.

BAD MAN. Don't trust him!
Shame on you Terry!
Mr Yates wrote in an email that he was sorry that his hands on course (at a hotel) was cancelled.
He did not tell me it was cancelled until I contacted him after the date of the event.
The hotel manager had zero knowledge of such a course when I showed up day of the course.
He promised in an email to refund my fee of $300. He was in asia training at the time and asked if I could remind him in a month when he returned.
I did and never heard a word from him. It has been 6 months of being ignored.
Additional costs were incurred to get a police security screening done on myself in order to take his course.
This police report was a useless waste of money so he needs to pay for that also.
