There's one thing to scam people, but it's another thing to take advantage of a young struggling girl and push her over the edge to try and kill herself.
All the previous posts written about this person are accurate. The victim is going through a lot of therapy (physical and mental) to recover. The fact that this person manipulated and lied to a young girl by promising a vast amount of money (around 3 thousand every two weeks) is not only cruel but incredibly inhumane.
Same story as all the other accounts up here. My friend, who is like a younger sister to me, fell for this craigslist ad because she was incredibly desperate. Besides working multiple jobs, she told me spent her time, when she could have been working more, getting some much needed rest, or eating, writing scripts for this "job." She was uncomfortable with the idea that this person was masturbating to her voice and her pictures (he even asked for her to take pictures of herself sitting cross legged in a chair wearing an optometrist getup) but was so desperate for the money that she believed would save herself from the enviornment she was in.
You knew she was desperate. I saw the texts. She told you she was living in an abusive enviornment, and that she was so grateful that you were giving her this opportunity. And you just took advantage of her. Not only did you promise a young girl a vast amount of money you would never be able to afford, you completely broke her by giving her false hope and then completely crushing it. She even showed me that contract you sent her, with the fake lawyer letterhead, and your emails stating that you only wanted to recreate a childhood memory, that she could go after you with legal consequences if you didn't pay her because if you didn't, it would be illegal. You even assured her that you would never share her pictures, because she was so scared that people would find her face on the internet.
She's so young, innocent, and naive. After getting taken advantage, manipulated, and hurt by so many people, you were last goddamn straw that caused her to do this. The thought that perhaps her parents might find out she fell for something like this because her pictures were online destroyed her. I mean, you promised to pay her and you didn't. She was so scared and terrified that she used her little savings to buy sleeping pills to kill herself.
For the other people who posted here, all you did was waste their time and cause them disgust. This time, you actually caused someone to try to end their life because of your actions. Maybe you didn't mean to cause something like this, but you did. Your f**ked up scam caused a person to physically try and end their life because they were so broken.
She went to church every day at 5am to pray for an answer to her depression and misery and thought God had sent the "job opportunity" you gave her.
Well Mark Plourde, you 35 year old creep, you might have gotten away with this for a while. I'm not going to go after you because unlike you, she's a good person who told me that she has forgiven you and it was her fault for falling for a scam. She's going to do great things with her intelligence and perseverance, and you will be stuck in your disgusting behaviors never amounting to anything. But I'll be damned if you do this to anyone ever again. I hope you read this and change. May my friend be the last one you ever take advantage of. I hope everyone sees this and that you receive the karma you so rightfully deserve.
