On June 19, 2019 i sent a $1000 deposit for the purchase of a 1998 Ferrari 355 Spyder VIN#ZFFXR48A3W0109622 from Motoring Company of the Hamptons, LLC (Salvatore M Biundo).
Persuant to the Bill of Sale conditions, I had a PrePurchase Inspection done (at a cost of $1166.68 to me) and found that 3 cylinders had low compression and failed the leak down test. When i emailed and texted Mario that the car had a bad motor and failed the inspection and i wanted a refund of the deposit, he stopped taking my calls and went radio silent.
Two days later I found the same car listed back on eBay and represented as a perfect car. They know/knew the motor is bad and still relisted it on eBay as in excellent condition using the seller name hamptonmotoringco
I had to file against Motoring Company of the Hamptons, LLC in district court to get my money back.
Dont trust a car from these guys unless you get a 3rd party inspection done to prove it's OK.
I've paid a deposit of $2.5k to buy a Maserati Gransport spyder ZAMBB18A050020404.
The car was suposed to be in "excellent conditions". I flight to NY to see it. It was in fact in poor conditions, showing all the caracteristics of a car neglected by its owners...
On top of that the seller - Mario - did sell it to another dealer Pennant motor without informing me: obviously, he was trying to sell it 2 times!
Of course I've got no news from Mario since then and I guess I will never get my deposit back!
