This is a bankruptcy law firm and I encourage you do your homework before using Mr. White. I do not believe this attorney fulfilled his fiduciary (acted in my best interest) responsibilities while representing me. The slick lawyer tricks abound. I was in a very vulnerable place (disabled, spinal cord injury, 5 surgeries) when I hired this guy. I trusted the firm to act professionally, but I found that they were not forthcoming regarding their fees and the fees from the Trustee. Additionally, the data intake was grossly incompetent. I had to resend information multiple times. I was even encouraged to go out and spend a little on my credit cards. I should have caught on then but I was over run with problems on too many fronts.
Furthermore, the use of diversionary answers is an art they have perfected. In addition to the fees mentioned above, I was mislead about the expense of retrieving my auto out of the bankruptcy, yet I was encourage to include it. These errors were compounded once the bankruptcy was approved. The best analogy I can offer is it was like a novice dealing with a slick car salesman, i.e. it is all great until you need to bring it in for warranty. For example, after the filing, contact with the firm was extremely unpleasant; they were condescending and impatient with audible sighs over the phone. The para legal consistently attempted to reframe prior conversations and shift blame on to me by twisting those statements. I did some checking with others in the area and found that my experience was not unique. Bankruptcy is a matter of public record and you can retrieve the names of people he has represented and see for yourself.
My experience tells me that once you have committed and they have your money, you become a hindrance and are not worth their time. You are surrendering a tremendous amount of autonomy when you embark on this process. Learn from my mistakes, shop around for representation, and be very clear regarding the outcome.
