This facility is the worst for servicing animal's welfare, and especially when they have owners believing whatever good services they recommend to better their pets. They like to take advantage of a owner's moment of weakness, especially when a poor animal's health is concerned. This horrible experience with the Monroe Animal Hospital started on 06.29.20. I can understand the diagnosis, and options that were presented to my wife and me, but what I cannot understand nor accept is the greediness of this facility to prolong an animal's pain and suffering, and profit from it.
I am not calming liability for my pet's outcome, but I am disputing the unnecessary added expenses of $147.00 [ Critical Care Herbivore apple/ banana of $ 14.00; Meloxidly of $48.00; Autogenous drops of $30.00; Azithromycin of $30.00; and flour stain of $25.00] out of a total of $242.00 doctor's bill, which did nothing but prolonged my pets suffering. My poor animal didn't have to endure and suffer more than she did under the care of the Monroe Animal Hospital with their useless medicine that didn't help my poor animal. This was a means to charge for more money since my animal was just suffering longer.
To add insult to injury, I even tried to take my pet back to been seen by the Monroe Animal Hospital the very next day on 06.30.20, and they adamantly refused, and even sent me away to another facility in Jersey.
Even called me on 07.02.20, and wanted to know about my pet's condition, but the hospital knew that I had spoken to them and begged for them to see my pet on 06.30.20, and then ordered told them to release my pet's medical history on 07.01.20 to the other animal hospital for further animal care. If a picture is worth a thousand words, look what their useless medicine did for my pet, before going into the Monroe Animal Hospital, and then after with all those costly useless medicine, prolonging the suffering of an animal for a profit gain.
Aslo, the Monroe Animal Hospital inaccuracies statements like for instances; I never mentioned cataracts and also my pet did not deceased or passed away, she was euthanized on 07.01.2020, and not on 07.02.2020 like hospital stated. Secondly, I want to refer now to Dr. Baker's gross inaccurate written statement: From the pics before and after provided, my pet's eye was not bulging out till after she came out of the doctor's office. Also It was not my decision to prolong my pet's pain and ultimate decision to put her to sleep, that was determined by a greedy doctor who wanted " send her home with medicine and observe her for a week," those were the doctor's own words to have her "medically managed."
I remember the conversation took place at 1557hrs on that day of the 29th of June. Also the doctor never mentioned euthanasia, until I bought up the topic not to make my pet suffer more then she had do under the care of this greedy doctor who was only talking about doing costly surgeries- x-rays for $500.00 and eye removal for $1,000.00 to $1,500.00, and tooth removal for $1,000.00. It's amazing she did not include this in her written statement, and goes to show dishonest and animal hospital and their doctors can be.
I am not disputing that my pet had physical problems that made her suffer and be in pain. I am writing this letter in part for the greediness of the doctor to want to prolong her pain for two more days with useless medicine she knew was not doing any good at $147.00 excluding the diagnostic exam. I took my pet to another animal hospital [ creature comforts animal hospital ] where I wasn't sold additional medicine and costly surgeries, and was just told the truth, my pet was really suffering and the most humane thing was to put her to sleep, which I did on 07.01.2020. And finally, to justify that its standard procedure to send out birthday cards is grossly un- professional and carless to say, my family - myself, my wife and kids were still going through a sad and turmoil period of not seeing our pet anymore in our house, and to sent a card to mock our pain, especially after since this Monroe animal hospital refused to see our pet again the next day on 06.30.2020.
