I bought a watch for my mother as a gift from Diamond International APRIL 2015 and was enticed that the watch price would be lower. I was told that they are a reputable company and that they deal with MoneyBack which is the company who handles the price credit. I bought the watch and filed for a credit at MoneyBack local office prior to getting back onto the ship. I did not receive the credit that they promised in 6-8 weeks. I emailed on 2 occasions and was given the following responses. (see below). I was thoroughly disappointed.
I recently returned to Cozumel and was reminded of this angering scam. So here I am publicizing this so that nobody will get scammed again by MoneyBack and also to get lured by Diamond International to buy jewelry from them.

I apologize for the inconvenience for the time this process is taking,
We are facing this longer delay due to that we have not received the funds
from the Mexican government. We depend from him with this matter since we
are establish in Mexico, he is taking longer to provide us with the funds to
be reimbursed.
However, I assure you will receive your refund soon after he provides us
with the funds. I do not have an exact date as to when this will be ready
but, your transaction is at the top of the list this way it could be one of
the first ones to go thru.
Please contact me within four weeks, if you don't see the refund by then.

I understand you have been waiting longer than the timeframe promised for
your refund.
The Mexican government has been making several changes to the program which
is causing us a longer delay.
However, you will receive your refund, although, it may take about four
weeks. But, I will be keeping track of your transaction till you get it as
promised.

Purchased earrings at diamond international on3/5/15 while in cozumel. was told about the tax refund and they made copies of my passport and flight info. i waited and waited and nothing so contacted moneyback.mx and told they have no record of this and to contact diamonds inter. guess what they have no record either so when we were back this feb. i took everything back to diamonds inter. and they don't know what happened so they make copies all over again and i'm still waiting. think this is a big scam on diamond inter. part as part of their sales pitch.don't fall for it people
