We were at Los Cabos, San Lucas three months ago and bought some items. We filled out paperwork at the airport booth MoneBack Tax Refund Services and yesterday recieved an email that our tax refund was cancelled. I tried to reply but it was undeliverable. Scam!!!
Went on vacation with wife to Mexico. Made a substantial purchase and was told about the MONEYBACK 8.9% tax return. Filled out all necessary paperwork in the store at the Moneyback kiosk. The attendant did not say she needed by passport and now I am being pestered by someone about not being able to process my application without the passport. All these requests are in the form of a very non-descript email from a Pamela Rosado. For all I know, they are phishing for my information to steal my identity. Do not succumb to their high pressure tactics.

The company moneyback.mx has a kiosk by the cruise ship port. The retail stores you shop in tell you to file your claim to get your tax refund.
The refund never comes and you get excuses from Moneyback.mx that the government is behind in sending the money.
It's been almost 7 months and we have not gotten anything.
The email address to contact the company on the website does not work.
