I worked for Adam Pacha and was hired by Eric Rajchel. I provide quality Inspections with little to no training or education provided by the company. I am certified in property Inspections and maintain my own small business of homes Inspections, but the mold business was new to me.
I took 2 separate classes and obtained certificates in mold, on my own accord and with my own money. They never asked to see the certificates. They provided vague and old videos on how to create reports on their app, which does not work with Samsung's, so I had to purchase an apple phone with my own money to accommodate.
They never ran a background check or inquired about previous work history. I received many positive reviews and maintained excellent customer service with over 150 clients during my 6 month contract. I quit after hitting my 18 week pregnancy mark. I offered to train a new candidate and help with the transition of finding a quality Inspector.
They had 2 jobs lined up the week I quit, both days the appointments fell on a snowy, less than 32° degree days. I would reschedule these on my own due to the code of ethics and standards of procedures I was taught during my mold certification. MI&T would schedule any job any day they could, and still charge $75 for a control sample, even when it's obsolete in that cold of temperature.
I am an independent contractor and do not have to give 2 weeks notice, and due to the lack of jobs this time of season, it wasn't really necessary. The office would with hold mileage and fail to communicate with clients calling with questions. Very unprofessional company to work FOR and to work with. They even kept my tips due to previous employees abusing the expediting process.
I am currently owed $1,281 in inspection commissions. I will be filing in small claims court with the state of Colorado and serving the company and any agents listed on the secretary of state. They claim to be a nationwide company, but fail to have a registered agent in all the states they service. Shame shame.
They charged for a report and claimed i had a mold, ri etested and it turned out that is was completly clean. they were trying to get give mold work to their paying mold removal companies on the list that they refer. its a BOG scam
Ken Foster is the Mit Mold Inspector. He visually inspected my apartment and said the whole ceiling will have to come down and be replaced. He said
he had to poke a hole in my ceiling in the kitchen. I told him I am renting and i cannot authorize that. He said it is my apartment and I can do anything I want to it. I disagreed with him, but he went ahead against mywishes to pole theough the ceiling. The report came back that remediation is not needed.
My doctor wrote a letter saying I have 300 times the Ochratoxin A of Aspergillus and Penicillium, which this company denied. There is rotten wood and water intrusion in my apartment. I have seen black mold coming out of the vents and on my bedroom wall. I called and asked for a refund. This company has no address. I was NEVER contacted by this company. Date of service was september 13, 2017.
Failed to pay agreed price for emergency mold inspection. A price of $700.00 was agreed upon, then when the check arrived only $425.00 was paid. Very poor business practice. I retained the emails which confirm the agreed price.
I had been associated with MI&T since 2013 I had to use my own testing supplies for the first year to which they had stated that they would pay me for which they never did They also stated that they would pay for 30% of total + milage of $10 for under 10 miles and $ 30 for any over 10 and $50 for any over 20 I have invoice showing the breakdown they only paid when I threatened and never the full amount as per agreement
I have tryed to get debt collectors after the company and they offered a settelment of less than 20% of what they owed which is in the thousands They are not honorable at all I have tried to work with them to solve the issues but they in turn said I actually owed them now that took guts I proved by my paperwork jobs worked and mileage traveled Bottom line do not trust what they offer
