Ordered a carbon fiber hood from them They bought it from Anderson Carbon fiber When it arrived 4 weeks after purchasing it. I opened the box with the shipping company here to check it and found it was cracked in two places. Modern gen tells me I should of accepted the hood anyways. And when I asked about having another hood shipped and that the shipping company has the one they shipped.
After three more weeks of phone calls they still haven't contacted the shipping company to resolve the issue. Don't purchase anything from these people they don't stand behind there products and there services is a joke.
I placed an order on ebay - #03-08047-00038, for two items, ID number 253405775562 and , ID number 253405759836. When I failed to receive a shipping confirmation I sent a message through ebay inquiring as whether or not the items shipped. That was sent on the 28th. I received a response stating that the items were shipped on the 28th via USPS. In that notice I was provided a tracking number which appeared to resemble a UPS tracking number!
On the 30th I received ONE package VIA UPS, with one of the two items.
I followed up with ebay and was told they won’t do anything until January 6th but the problem is that both items have been assigned the same tracking number so it shows that the order has been shipped when in fact I have only received one of the items!
In my extensive research I have learned that this company forfieted their corporate status in November of 2021. I found indications that they are now in a holding company wich I thought was a very reputable corvette parts supplier but I have contacted them and failed to get a response.
I placed an order on May 4th of 2021. It is now Aug. 18th. and no parts. I have sent no less than a dozen e-mails and 3 phone calls. Each response was different than the previous response. They have blamed the mfr. every time with responses that range from 2-3 weeks to the one I received today, "3-4 Weeks". On one phone call they said they would have the mfr. contact me, and on another, we will have our manager contact you, NEVER HAPPENED!
Today they asked if I "Wanted to Cancel". My response was simple, "I want a refund immediately".
Thier response was "We will submit the cancellation".
In conclusion, they are complete liars. I paid $189 for absolutely NOTHING except lies.
This has to be the worst company I have ever delt with. They took my money with little to no communication, refuse to refund me. the part showed as in stock, then they told me 10-12 weeks. When I asked for refund, they tell me it has to be approved! are you kidding me? Stay away from this company!!! I am sueing them.
On July 26 I ordered (1) Hydro Carbon Fiber Fuse Box Cover for my 2014 Z-51 Corvette. Note that Modern Gen Auto advertises a 3 - 4 week delivery. After 4 weeks I contacted Modern Gen and was informed that they will have to look into the shipping status and that I would hear from them in 24 hours. Not having received any e-mails of calls from Modern Gen Auto in the stated timeframe I once again contacted them and was told that since this is a special "paint" ordered item it usually takes more then 4 weeks, but could not ascertain any specific dateline. When I heard the word "paint" I should have cancelled the order. On September 24, or 9 weeks later I finally received the item and sure enough it is a piece of sheet metal painted over with the Carbon Fiber "pattern!" I sent an e-mail to customer service requesting an RMA and return label. 2 days later I receive a link with 3 pages of Purchase & Return Conditions stating what can and what cannot be returned! Since my items is now classified as "Special Order" it can not be returned for credit. Also note that Modern Gen Auto will charge for the items ordered on the day that the items have been ordered!!
