I am writing to express my and several members of the public absolute disgust and outrage at your clients' mistreatment and blatant disregard for their needs and well-being. As a manufacturer and designer of ADU architecture, your company, Modal LLC, has failed miserably in delivering a habitable home to its clients.
Sadly, many of Modal Living/ Modal's clients have been left in dire situations due to your company's negligence and greed. Despite paying large sums of money to Modal LLC, there are countless horror stories of clients being left with unfinished or poorly constructed ADUs or receiving entire ADUs in utter disarray.
What is particularly distressing is the fact that Modal LLC has apparently stolen funds from your clients, leaving them with nothing to show for their investments. This is unacceptable and a clear sign of a lack of integrity and ethics.
It is simply unconscionable that Modal LLC would take advantage of people in this way. People who have placed their trust and financial resources in your company's hands, CEO, and president, hoping to create a comfortable living space for themselves and their loved ones.
Modal's failure to deliver on this promise is a gross violation of your client's trust and an insult to their intelligence. It is shameful that Modal would continue to operate in this manner, disregarding and negatively impacting people's lives.

Firstly, the quality of the materials used in the construction of the ADU is very poor and cheap from China. The walls are thin and offer very little insulation, which has resulted in my mother being constantly cold, even when the heating is on. Moreover, the plumbing fixtures are of low quality; contractors failed to make an opening for ac and doors on my unit, and many other clients were poorly plumbed and didn't work. We have experienced several leaks, which have caused damage to the flooring and have been a significant inconvenience for us, and water hammer sounds every time the toilet is flushed. Exterior was dinged during shipping. There was no landing so elderly mother could not get inside.
Secondly, the customer service provided by Modal Living has been very disappointing, there is no customer service. Despite numerous attempts to contact them, we have not received a response to our concerns or complaints. This lack of communication has left us feeling agitated. I am highly dissatisfied with my purchase and would not recommend Modal Living ADUs to others in the market for affordable living space and urge you to look for alternatives before committing to Modal; out of every one in ten units being built, at least half of them are dysfunctional and damaged during shipping.
I bought one of these homes thinking we will be taken care of with respect and receive our money's worth however; we have been nothing but disappointed with the quality of the build and the way the staff treats us. One, we were surprised about the crane fees, at the last min had to borrow money to pay that off due to them not adding to the original bill or a lien would be placed on our property. The house was meant for my special needs daughter, that cannot climb upstairs and has sensory and motor issues because of a autism.
Too many problems from long permitting process which states that it would take 6 months on website but took much longer to complete. After the house arrived there were more problems with humidity build up inside the house the computer inside the refrigerator died and I had to fill out warranty papers to get that changed out by myself.
All in all, we regret giving them any money as there are now more competitors to choose from with cheaper prices and better customer service.
They tend to burn bridges and even one of their contacts F Roberts Spg no longer works with them due to the terrible quality of the the homes being shipped out to people.
Thinking they are nice Mormon people was a mistake as they are shady as one can be.
