I will begin by saying that I had no reason to ever thinkg there was a problem with my 3 accounts with Mission Federal Credit Union until I went online this morning to find information on my accounts for tax reporting purposes. As soon as I longed on and tried to access my accounts, I could only receive a message noting that all of my accounts had been closed - credit card account, savings account and checking account. No one ever let me know about this. No one from MFCU ever let me know there was any kind of problem I did not receive anything by e-mail or by the USPS. They just did it!

Since they closed all of my accounts and blocked me from all of my personal inforamtion with them, I had no idea what was going on. In the past, It had been very hard to get a person on the phone; but, that was not the case this morning. I asked the woman what was going on with my accounts and why had no one notifed me they were shutting them down? She told me that I owed then money and all of those records were in collections.

She transferred my call to collections. That woman, who called herself Amanda, was one of the snide and rudest people I have ever spoken with in a business. She kept making a point that all of my problems were because I did not know what I was doing. I have owned a internet business of my own since 2004; so, she was not speaking to a person who is unfamiliar with conducting business over the internet and telephone. She was downright nasty and she contradicted herself with her statements. I had asked why no one had been letting me know what was going on with my accounts. At first she told me they had sent me a lot of e-mail and USPS messages and she eventally said they sent me one message by the USPS. They had not sent me any e-mails. f they had, it would have made little difference because the site had so many problems, I had rarely been able to see anything on it anyway.

The man in collections said I owed them $57 and they had closed down all of my accounts and access to previous records because I had not paid them. I told him I was not aware that I owed them any money and no one had notified of the situation. He said they don't usually take any action for several months. I was concered about my credit report and he assured me they had not reporterd anything to the credit bureaus. I checked my credit and found he had lied to me. That information was on my credit report. I asked him if any was for penalties and he said $23 was for penalties. I had not been contacted about any reason why I had incurred penalties. They had been charging me penalties and damaging my credit report and hiding all of this from me. They lied to me in an effort to cover up their lies.

I have had major problems using their website becasue they system seerms to always in the middle of being repaired and/or updatedd. I made one charge on their credit card and you would not believe how many times I tried to get on their website or get in touch on the telephone in an effort to pay that amount off within days of the credit card. The phone calls were continuall loops with both of the numbers they provide on their website and the website itself always seemed buggy and would not let me in so I could access my account. It was a nightmare trying to work with these people.

I eventually was able to get through to someone who told me that I was behind on my payments and they had chaged me a $25 fee. I told them I had tried to pay online and the site was always messed ujp. She told me that I had to go in to pay the bill. Now, I had an electronic account, so why would I need to go to a branch to take care of everything. My problem was that if someone was wrong, they should have let me know! They just started charging me fees without letting me know what they were doing. The fees were bad enough; but, they were also damaging my credit.

After first telling me that they sent me several e-mails and messages via the USPS, she then said they sent me only 1 message through the postal service. I never received ANYTHING from them. I had been trying to pay them and contact them; but, they made it impossible.

If they had sent me something via the postal service, I would have sent them a check; but, they didn't. They were basically causing me finacial damage without alerting me.

At the time when I found out how bad they were treating me and how it was impossible for me to get in touch with them (serious illness kept me from going to a branch), I put a negative post on Yelp and got a quick reply from them. Guess what, I kept getting answering machines putting me into a look again. Also, I noticed on Yelp that many other customers were experiencing similar problems with them. I read many post warn others of money being taken from them without their knowledge and undisclosed fees being built up without their knowledge.

I eventually spoke with one of their people and she made a lot of promises that were just a bunch of hot air. If she did anything, she caused me much greater problems by trusting her.

I had money in my accounts that would have cover any debts I had; but, with all of the hidden penalties they were sticking to me and sending to collections, they left me in a fiananciall mess.

I had originally gone to them in an effort to help build up my credit after losing my home in a foreclosure and going through bankruptcy. I did not need to charge anything or use any of their accounts for any reason other than to help build up my credit. Regretfully, going to them was one of the worst things I could have ever done. They were destrying my credit and ripping me off right behind my back, while making it almost impossible to communicate with. If they had not insisted on setting up electronic accounts for me, I would never have gotten into the mess they put me in. Those people do not care about their customers and lying and stealing seem like part of their job describiption. I did not appreciate the condescending ways by which they spoke to me and eventually realized it made it easier for them to get away with their lies because their attitude made people feel guilty for their dishonest behavior.
